BREAKING: Chelsea finalize Werner deal!
Bildbyran

Credible reports out of Germany have confirmed that Chelsea have reached advanced stages in signing RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

The Blues were in the market looking for a striker for the new season. They have Michy Batshuayi, Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham in the ranks. However, barring Abraham, the other strikers were not favorable to Lampard. He was keen on signing a young striker and it seems that Werner will be that man.

The chase for the Germany international was interesting as it seemed even till a fortnite back that Liverpool would steal his signature. The player signed an extension till 2023 at the club back in April which stopped him from the leaving the club for free in the summer.

However, the extension included a buy-out clause rated at €60 million. Chelsea have reportedly triggered that clause and are now finalising a deal for the forward.

They are reportedly prepared to offer the player a €200,000k per week salary with bonuses as add-ons. The deal is expected to be official within a week unless a new club joins in the race for Werner.

The German forward is a versatile player who can also play as a wing forward. He along with Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic promises to be a brilliant frontline for the Blues!

Jose Mourinho Eyeing Up Ways To Get Kurt Zouma Out Of Chelsea

Jose Mourinho Eyeing Up Ways To Get Kurt Zouma Out Of Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a move for Kurt Zouma, according to the latest reports.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly told Daniel Levy to explore the option of getting Zouma from Chelsea. There is nothing to suggest that Frank Lampard would fully oppose to the move.

Zouma has appeared regularly in the Chelsea backline this season. He had a rough start but still maintained his starting spot through the majority of the campaign. That was mostly due to the absence of Antonio Rudiger through injury.

Zouma had to spend two seasons out on loan to Stoke City and Everton to find his back into the Chelsea side. Lampard gave the ex-Setienne man a chance to impress but did not get the most out of him. With the rising Fikayo Tomori and established personnel of Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, Zouma could very well be moved along for a healthy profit.

Chelsea are also due to get Ethan Ampadu back on their books. The Welshman’s frustrating loan spell with RB Leipzig has him itching to make a comeback to London. He could be an immediate replacement for Zouma, even if he is unproven at this point.

Lampard Is Thankful For Taking In Academy Youngsters

Lampard Is Thankful For Taking In Academy Youngsters

Lampard has spoken about how taking in young players from the Chelsea academy has been working out really well for the Blues – so far.

Of course, he does admit that the team, while still young, is slightly rough around the edges, but he is excited with the squad he’s managing now – there’s definitely great potential. Ever since he was appointed as manager in 2019, he has taken in the likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Callum Hudson-Odoi, among others, from the Chelsea academy.

“It was always going to be a priority and the relationships were already there,” Lampard told the Chelsea official website.

“Joe [Edwards] and Jody [Morris] knew all the players, I knew the more prominent ones, and we all knew Neil Bath and Jim Fraser [from the Academy] well. It just had to be reconnected because it hadn’t been as connected in recent years.

“I wanted to know all the players, the names of the ones who were training well and deserved a chance. It’s easy to pluck a Billy Gilmour, but it’s also a case of hearing that, say, Henry Lawrence is training well – then get him over, get him training with us.

“All those little details are important and it’s brilliant, it’s what it’s all about – it shouldn’t be any other way.

“I’m certainly excited about the squad we’ve got, with the young players and if we can get a few additions for areas I feel we need. We didn’t bring in anyone in January, it didn’t work out to be right for us at the time, and last summer we couldn’t bring anyone in, so those windows are gone and we haven’t changed. So I am excited about the squad we’ve got, if we can freshen up in the right areas – we all know that.”

Nicolas Tagliafico On Chelsea’s Radar After Ben Chilwell Price Reveal

Nicolas Tagliafico On Chelsea's Radar After Ben Chilwell Price Reveal

Chelsea’s next best option after Ben Chilwell could be Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico.

Previously linked with Arsenal, the Argentine left-back is a much cheaper alternative to his Leicester City counterpart. Earlier reports suggested that Chilwell could cost as much as £85 million.

Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, that is a ridiculous sum of money to invest in one player. Chilwell is a very talented Premier League defender but he will always find it hard to justify that sort of transfer fee. This is where Tagliafico comes in with a lot of positives.

At 27, he is experienced, dependable and simply quite good. He showed his best traits of going up and down the left channel in Ajax’s Champions League campaign last term. He has been a regular for the Lancers ever since he made the switch in 2018 and has even broken out as the starter for the Argentine national team.

Tagliafico’s current teammate, Hakim Ziyech is set for a move to Stamford Bridge after the commencement of the 2019/20 season. Chelsea paid £33 million for the Moroccan international, who in turn, can convince Taglifico into making the London switch. Frank Lampard is fed up with both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri, which would mean and immediate starting role for anybody who arrives this summer.

Chelsea Fighting Against Juventus And Bayer Leverkusen For Kaio Jorge

Chelsea Fighting Against Juventus And Bayer Leverkusen For Kaio Jorge

Chelsea are eyeing up Santos youngster, Kaio Jorge who has dubbed to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen are also monitoring him for a potential move this summer. Chelsea have the advantage of knowing Jorge’s agent quite well since he also represents Oscar and David Luiz.

Jorge is signed to Santos until June 2022. His last extension came in January of last year and Juve seem to be the favourites to land him. The fight is still not over yet with the coronavirus pandemic complicating transfer business for all clubs.

When asked about his future, Jorge replied, “I leave these things to my agent. I don’t get involved, he manages them. Right now I’m very happy at Santos and I want to keep doing well, growing and improving my football. Every day I learn something new and get stronger.”

The teenager has scored just a single goal for Santos but his true potential was on display during the U17 FIFA World Cup. He scored five in the tournament and impressed plenty of onlookers. His superb technique, quick feet and great aerial ability has drawn comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Chelsea do need more attacking options upfront. Frank Lampard has been requesting more firepower ever since the season practically started. Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud seem to be not cutting it under the 41-year-old and Jorge could be a brilliant project to mould.

As a gift for leading Chelsea through a challenging campaign with a transfer ban – Roman Abramovich has offered Frank Lampard the opportunity to make 2 marquee signings in the upcoming transfer window!

The Blues have created a new team from their broken remains and youth academy in the last 10 months under Frank Lampard. So according to reports, an impressed Roman Abramovich is ready to offer Frank Lampard a chance to make two marquee signings to make Chelsea better for next season.

Who are the players who do you think Lampard will want to line up with if he had his way? One very obvious marquee signing could be Jadon Sancho who is likely to cost in excess of 100 million!

The other would have to be a toss up between a striker and a left back. Our money is on left back since there are cheaper and more alternatives available for strikers than for left backs. In left back we can see Chelsea dishing out record money to land Ben Chilwell.

So here is how Chelsea can line up with just their two marquee signings!

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, Ben Chilwell, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Jadon Sancho, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham

Giroud on repaying Lampard’s faith

Giroud on repaying Lampard's faith

Olivier Giroud was set to leave Chelsea in January.

However, the Frenchman despite being linked to Inter Milan dawned the Blues training jersey on February 1st, 2020. He has not talked about his time at the club under Lampard and why he intends to spend another year at SW6.

“I was supposed to leave in the January transfer window because I wasn’t playing much and I needed more game time to make the France squad for Euro 2020,” he told Chelseafc.com. “I very nearly left the club but I really think that God wanted me to stay at Chelsea.

“The manager told me that he couldn’t let me leave because he didn’t have anyone to replace me. Everyone knows what happened so I won’t go back over it but the coach spoke to me privately and told me that he’d give more games.

“He kept his word and what then mattered to me was proving to him that he could count on me when I was called upon.”

“I came off the bench and scored in my first game against Manchester United,” he recalled. “The goal was ruled out because half of my foot was offside. In the next game, we were up against Tottenham, one of our main challenges for a Champions League place. I played and I scored. I kept my place in the side and then I found the net again against Everton.

“I simply seized my opportunity and I repaid the faith that the manager had shown in me. That’s why the club ultimately offered me the chance to continue my time at Chelsea and I accepted immediately because I like it here. I want to keep winning trophies and I want to continue to show the manager that he can count on me.

“Plus, with the whole coronavirus lockdown situation, I didn’t really feel comfortable with the idea of moving abroad and uprooting my family. I think a lot about our quality of life and we have a great setup here. I think a lot about my family now.”

Jorginho’s agent talks about Juventus’ Jorginho interest

Jorginho's agent talks about Juventus' Jorginho interest

Jorginho has been one of Chelsea’s most complicated signings in the last two years.

Some fans are impressed by his composure and leadership skills while others still feel he is overrated. Maurizio Sarri was the one who brought him to Chelsea and now he is still a fan of the midfielder.

Sarri reportedly wants him in Juventus as well now. However, Lampard is also a fan of the midfielder and is unwilling to let him leave.

So what does his agent think about the player’s future?

“Nobody from Juve contacted me. Sarri highly appreciates Jorginho as a person & player. In my opinion it is difficult for the Bianconeri to buy him today, the market will be affected by the pandemic + Jorginho has a contract until 2023.”

It is pretty clear that the midfielder is set to stay at the club now. He will be an important member of Frank Lampard’s revolution at Chelsea. He is already their vice-captain.

Chelsea have Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, Billy Gilmour to play in central defensive midfield besides these players. So it will be perfect for Chelsea to keep the 28-year-old at the club.

He will also be a perfect role model for Billy Gilmour as well who has done really well after breaking into the first team this season.

'Enough Is Enough': Chelsea Shows Anti-Racism Support
Bildbyran

The Chelsea FC team came together yesterday in solidarity to support the anti-racism movement.

After George Floyd – an African-American man – was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis on 25th May, sparks of wrath rose around the nation and the world. Several footballers and clubs showed their support and Chelsea Football Club paid a tribute by taking a stand against racism, sending out the message to all their fans and the world – ‘Enough is Enough’.

This is their contribution to the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement which rose to new heights after the incident, and Chelsea has certainly sent out a very powerful message. Several Chelsea players have faced outright racism in the past – the likes of Tammy Abraham, Reece James, Didier Drogba, Jimmy Floyd Hasseilbank, Callum Hudson-Odoi – among so many more, and the Blues have really had enough now.

Before they started their training on Tuesday, they came down on their knee and formed the letter H – which stands for Humans.

A new manager and a new team! Frank Lampard revolutionised Chelsea’s team make up by bringing in young players from the Chelsea academy itself. Players like Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Callum-Hudson-Odoi, among others, were brought into the team and given a chance to play. This happened because in the past, Chelsea has been riddled with bad luck when it comes to retaining their academy players. World-class players like Kevin de Bruyne and Mohamed Salah were not given a chance to play at Chelsea, and so they left – becoming bigger stars than ever. Thankfully, the fate was not the same for Mason Mount – his timing was just right! Today, Mason Mount is rapidly becoming one of Chelsea’s most important players, alongside his young teammates.

4. Mason Mount Impressed At Vitesse, So Much That He Was Called To Play In The National Team

England national team manager Gareth Southgate was so impressed with Mount that he called him to train with the senior team for a week, before the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Mount made his debut play for the England national team at the 67th minute as a substitute. He was again put in the team in October 2018 for the UEFA Nations League games, where he played against Croatia and Spain.

5. Mason Mount’s Derby County Teammates Were Very Impressed By Him On The First Day Of Training

What a performance, the lads were brilliant! 3 points ?? looking forward to Tuesday ?⚽️

When Mason Mount arrived at Derby County’s first training session, his teammates were rather taken aback by his skills.

“The first training with us left the players thinking: ‘Wow, who is this guy?!,” said Shay Given, the Derby County Coach.

“We knew about him as a young prospect at Chelsea who had done well in Holland [on loan at Vitesse], but it is not until he is actually on the training ground that you really see what kind of player he is.

“He was some player for us. His finishing, power, pace and work rate was great. Of course, he has played so many games this season for Chelsea and he was one of our best players at Derby.

“Even at Derby, they thought what a player he is going to be from the first training session and he went on from there.”

He excelled greatly at Derby County!
