Chelsea Have Been In Talks To Sign Jesus Corona, Agent Reveals

It has been revealed that Chelsea are after all interested in FC Porto winger, Jesus Corona.

Former reports suggested that the Blues were viewing him as an alternative to Jadon Sancho.

Of course, a move for the Englishman was put off after hearing about his £120 million and up asking price. Signing Corona seems more realistic in the current market conditions. The 27-year-old’s agent, Mattias Bunge lifted the lid on negotiations between the two clubs.

“At some point, we talked to them. I cannot say if he’s option A, B or C, now they are rather rumours. We’ll have to wait a bit for this to continue moving forward and for the leagues to begin again and from there see what the next movements will be, because the market is a little bit stopped,” Bunge told Medio Tiempo.

“He has two years left on his contract, he did awaken a lot of interest for his participation in this particular tournament, which has been outstanding and at a high level. But now with the current situation of the virus everything has slowed down a bit, now the signings are in quarantine.

“The current clause is €30m, from there we’ll see how things happen. Today Jesus has been a fundamental part of Porto for several seasons and we’re going to see where it ends.

“We have spoken with several teams from England, Spain, some from Germany, but well, normally at this time of year we talk more deeply, and in this market, the leagues are either resuming or haven’t been able to conclude. All the teams are seeing what happens to their sales or their signings so from there the ball continues to roll in the offices.”

Tammy Abraham Talks About Experience With Racism During Chelsea-Liverpool Match

Tammy Abraham Talks About Experience With Racism During Chelsea-Liverpool Match

Racism has always been rampant within football – and Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is no stranger to it.

He talks about his experience with racism he faced during a Chelsea game. Back in August, when Abraham was playing in the UEFA Super Cup match against Liverpool, he wasn’t able to get the penalty kick right and missed the ball going into the net. Chelsea ended up losing 5-4 penalties to the Reds after a 2-2 draw.

For that, he received hurls of racist abuse for days and many debated whether he was good enough for the Blues even or not. Abraham remembers his confidence in himself being thoroughly shaken after the incident.

“The season before at Villa, I had only missed one out of eight or nine so I had confidence,” Abraham said on the official Chelsea site. “I remember walking up and the pressure got to me, nobody had missed up to that point so I knew I had to score.

“I had what I wanted to do in my head but I changed my mind when I was taking the run-up. Afterwards in the changing room, everyone came round me saying ‘don’t worry, it happens to the best players’ but at the time I just didn’t want to hear it. I wanted everyone to leave me alone, I was in tears.

“I lost a lot of confidence after that. I was doing well on my loans but when I came back to Chelsea, it just wasn’t working – I couldn’t get my first goal, I couldn’t do anything. In my head I was wondering if it was worth all the stress because I was getting abused on Twitter, a lot of racist comments, people saying I wasn’t good enough to be playing for Chelsea. It was the biggest down in anything I’ve done in football.”

Giroud Opens Up About Emotional Chelsea Europa League Win Against Arsenal
Bildbyran

Olivier Giroud has opened up about the time Chelsea won the Europa League in May 2019 – that too against his old club Arsenal.

Giroud was with Arsenal from 2012 – 2018 before joining Chelsea in 2018. The Europa League win against Arsenal was special for everyone, but for Giroud – it was more than just a win. It was a sentimental memory.

“That final against Arsenal was obviously very special for me emotionally,” Giroud said to the official Chelsea website. “When I saw that we were going to face Arsenal in the final, I knew it was going to be special.

“On top of that, it was only a year after I left. I have quite a lot of friends over there, people who work in the club’s offices. That was extra motivation for me and I knew that it was going to be a high-pressure match.”

Giroud scored the first goal at the last 3 minutes of the second round – a close call.

“I scored, I got an assist and I won the penalty so quite a lot of good things happened there for me because I was involved in three goals out of the four that we scored,” he said.

“It was like in a dream because I couldn’t have imagined that it would go so well, so perfectly for us.

“I wanted to win things at Chelsea – that’s why I was even more motivated that night – but winning against your old club like that.

“It’s all about winning. That final was even more special because it was against Arsenal, and I went out there to win the trophy. That’s how you can leave your mark on history, by writing your name in the record books.”

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham talks about the return to the Blues training ground – and how it’s going so far for him.

‘We’ve had some hard sessions but it’s good to be back and everything has been fine,’ he reveals on Chelsea’s official website.

‘Obviously we’ve been training in groups of three or four so we’re not used to that yet but hopefully in the next stage there will be more of us training together and better contact.

‘It has been tough,’ he says of the lockdown period, ‘but the most important thing is health so it is what it is. We’re back now and hopefully we’ll get everything back to normal soon.’

Abraham further recalled back to the time he scored his very first goal for Chelsea – and how excited he was back then.

‘In my head, I knew that if I didn’t score then it could be my last starting chance gone,’ he says of the build-up to that game at Carrow Road. ‘When I scored, the emotions just got to me. I ran over to the manager and I was thinking “I’ve just scored my first goal for Chelsea!”

‘That’s when the confidence started to come back. I scored the winner in that game as well so from there the confidence came back gradually. The Chelsea fans started to believe in me and I could kick on.

‘As a striker, you need to believe in yourself and have that confidence. Being Chelsea’s number nine, you’ve got big boots to fill so I need to believe that I’m the man, that I can score and do well for the team. You need that feeling going into every game.’

Chelsea fans heave a sigh of relief as N’Golo Kante return to training comes as a beacon of hope for the Blues.

Just a week back, N’Golo was set to opt out of the remaining Premier League season after he got worried over the spread of coronavirus and it’s effects. He missed 3 training session before returning to individual training, according to The Guardian, although still unsure about his role in the Premier League matches.

His fears were definitely not irrational. His older brother passed away due to a heart attack in 2018, just a few weeks before the World Cup started. Kante himself had fainted during training a few months back – although he was stated to be healthy after his checkup. Moreover, reports and statistics have shown that black women and men can be more susceptible to contracting the virus and suffering health conditions due to it – even leading to death.

Frank Lampard was extremely understanding about this and Chelsea took the decision to fully support him even if he didn’t feature in any of the remaining fixtures.

However, Kante has returned to individual training and being one of Chelsea’s most valued player, fans are hoping that he will be able to play in the upcoming matches as well.

Lampard wants Jesus Corona

Lampard wants Jesus Corona

The right winger with the last name that sounds the ugliest in the world right now could bring good things for the Stamford Bridge club.

Chelsea is planning reinforcements for next season, and manager Frank Lampard wants to have Corona in the team. The name, which is allergic to the world, due to the coronavirus, however, does not bother Lampard, especially since he is a quality player who wears the Porto jersey.

At Stamford Bridge, they hope to buy Jadon Sancho, but the young England international is a target for Europe’s biggest clubs, the competition will be fierce and Lampard has another idea – to hire Jesus Corona.

The Mexican is polyvalent on the right side, he can play both as a fullback and as a winger, and this season in 41 games for Porto he scored two goals and recorded as many as 17 assists. Its price is estimated at around 26 million pounds and it is certainly much cheaper than Jadon Sancho.

Jesus Corona is also in the plans of Sevilla, Valencia and Inter.

Caballero I received death threats after the Croatia match

Experienced Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero gained the trust and was Argentina’s first goalkeeper at the 2018 World Cup.

He did his job well, but stood out with the mistake in the match against Croatia. The match was tough and without many chances, but with the award-winning goal of Ante Rebiќ in the 53rd minute, things changed and Croatia celebrated with 0-3. Caballero, wanting to play a teammate, added the ball to the Milan striker, who shook the net directly with a volley.

The network security guard admitted that after such an error, there were threats, including threats to his life.

“I wanted to add Salvio, but I hit the grass and made a mistake. The next day I was hell. Everyone suddenly had my number and sent me messages. There were also threats to my life. “I was just thinking about my family and their safety.”

After the mistake, the coach Sampaoli placed him on the bench, and by the end of the tournament, Franco Armani defended. Argentina passed the group stage, but were immediately eliminated in the round of 16 by later world champions France 4-3.

Ballack Van Dijk should be happy he is not playing against Drogba

The former German national team player and star of Bayern and Chelsea is not a supporter of the Liverpool centre back.

Michael Ballack spent part of his career playing for Chelsea in the Premier League, where he won the title before returning to Germany and made more than 100 appearances. He finished his career in 2012, so now he has a lot of time to analyze today’s football and all the stars who stand out.

The German, however, is not fond of Virgil Van Dijk, the centre back of Liverpool. Ballack believes that Van Dijk is lucky not to face goal scorers like Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, so they consider him the best defender in the English Premier League.

“Van Dijk is lucky to be playing in an era that does not include strikers Alan Shearer, Didier Drogba, Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Robin Van Persie and many other top goal scorers. I’m not surprised they consider him the best defender in the league.”

Chelsea joins race for Mauro Icardi

Chelsea have joined the race to sign Mauro Icardi, according to English media.

Icardi is playing for PSG this season on loan from Inter, but the two clubs cannot agree on a permanent transfer.

The Saints have the option to buy him for 70 million euros, an amount they consider very high, so they are ready to pay 50 million euros.

Chelsea want to take advantage of this situation, as Lampard is looking for a quality striker and believes Icardi would be the ideal solution.

The Argentina international has an impressive goal-scoring record at Inter, netting 111 times in 181 games for the Milanese club and was named captain in 2015 at just 22-years-old.

Chelsea have reportedly already sent an offer to Icardi, and the final decision will still be made by his wife and agent, Wanda Nara.

Icardi has also been linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal, but neither are likely to reignite their interest in him this summer.
