Moses Simon has expressed his dream to join Chelsea!

Chelsea have had a decent season under new manager Frank Lampard this year. The former Chelsea boss took over at the club last summer when the Blues were in a spot of bother having lost their best player Eden Hazard to Real Madrid and being slapped with a transfer ban.

Lampard has done well in the first season at the Bridge. He has given chances to plenty of youngsters at the club who have taken the opportunity well. The likes of Abraham and Mount to be specific. Chelsea have further shown their ambitions this summer by signing Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig

It seems however, there is another player who wants to join the club. Moses Simon, who actually is contracted to Levante is on loan at Ligue 1 with Nantes, has expressed his dream would be to join the Blues!

“It is the Blues because I think I play their kind of football and will fit in well,” Simon told Goal.

“I like the way they play and I love them because of John Obi Mikel and Didier Drogba.

“Should that happen, I’ll be so happy because that will be a dream come true for me.”

Do you think Moses will be a good addition to Lampard’s team?

Frank Lampard is rather happy with Chelsea’s acquisition of Timo Werner.

He has praised Werner, saying that he had been following him even before he became manager.

“He’s a player we liked. I’ve certainly followed him for a long time myself, just as a talented player, before I had this job.

“As a club, we went for him, and he certainly will strengthen us in my opinion. He’s got huge talent.

“We worked as hard as we could. I had good conversations with him and he hopefully understands what I want to do here with the club; how we work, how we play – and it seemed like it came across as a really exciting project for him.

“He obviously had some very, very good options. It was very joined up from our end, how we went about it, and we’re just pleased that Timo’s decided to come to us.

When it comes to Hudson-Odoi, Tomori and Loftus-Cheek, Lampard feels confident about the trio.

“With Callum Hudson-Odoi, he had a small injury earlier on in the training process and is not match fit, albeit he’s physically fit now.”

“Fikayo Tomori has got a muscle injury – probably from the stresses of trying to get fit quickly – which should probably keep him out for the next 10 days or so.”

“He’s looking fit. He’s taken part in our training games and he’s worked really hard to get back,” added Lampard about Loftus-Cheek.

“It’s a really difficult injury he’s had and we’ve really missed him this season.

Lampard Wants Kante To Stay On At Chelsea – Long Term

Lampard Wants Kante To Stay On At Chelsea - Long Term

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has clarified that he wants midfielder N’Golo Kante to stay on at Chelsea.

He also said he would have loved to have a chance to play with the humble midfielder. The 29-year-old is clearly important to Chelsea’s future – even though he’ll turn 30 next birthday.

“It was very genuine, he wanted to be clear about how it would work around the training ground. It’s been sorted out in the short term and he’s training and he’s happy,” said Lampard, about N’Golo’s return to the training ground.

“Also in terms of N’Golo, I’ve seen some talk and reports about him and his future at the club.

“I’ve said before about N’Golo, [he is] one of the best midfield players in the world. I actually would have loved to play with him, the type of player he is. He has everything, and coming back to Chelsea and managing this club, having N’Golo Kante, is something I really wanted to appreciate and work with.

Kante had been out for most of 2020 with hamstring and groin injuries – but is now looking to make a fresh comeback to Stamford Bridge.

“This season unfortunately it’s been tough due to injuries to N’Golo, but it’s nice to see him a little bit fresh.

“One of the silver linings I suppose to this has been we’ve managed to get a few players fit and fresher, for whatever reason. N’Golo is so important to us as a team going forward, we need him regularly and hopefully we’ll have that now.”

Frank Lampard Tells Callum Hudson-Odoi To Get His Act Together

Frank Lampard Tells Callum Hudson-Odoi To Get His Act Together

Frank Lampard has warned players about the growing competition in the Chelsea squad with each passing transfer.

Callum Hudson-Odoi was the one who faced the manager’s harsh but true statements.

The youngster caught negative headlines after being pulled into a controversial incident during the coronavirus outbreak. He has been cleared of the charges but has left a stain on his professional career. Fans have started to turn on the teenage winger who became Chelsea’s highest-paid teenager last summer.

Lampard was relieved that the matter was resolved but he has demanded more from Hudson-Odoi. He said, “Firstly, I’m very happy that in the eyes of the law it’s been sorted out, that was my main concern at first, so that’s positive for us.

“For Callum, I’ve hopefully shown in my short time in management that I’m very sympathetic towards the idea that we aren’t all angels or saints, we make mistakes when we’re at a young age. I’ll never be one to come down too harshly on that, albeit we have had conversations myself and Callum, and the big conversation now is to make sure he learns from it, from what happened.

“He broke lockdown, that wasn’t good enough and he’s admitted to that, we can move on. The next thing is to train consistently at a really high level, to work hard in training every day.

“He came back from lockdown and got injured pretty early in this period, so now he’s having to work hard to get fit again. As much as there are pitfalls off the pitch, I want to see how he can work on the training pitch to get into this team and perform at the levels we all hope he can at the club, and it doesn’t come easy.

“That’s the big thing I said to Callum, and he really has to take that on board now.”

Those were Lampard’s chilling words which should resonate with the young Blues star. Hudson-Odoi, no doubt, is as talented as they come but he can have his entire career get derailed by poor decisions early on.

We have seen countless times ridiculously talented footballers self destruct their promising careers by indulging in vices in their personal life. Hopefully, the 19-year-old can learn from this and fulfil his potential at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has spoken out on the Werner deal. He has expressed his opinion on what he thinks about Chelsea’s latest acquisition.

The Blues signed the German forward on a five-year deal and he is set to join the squad next month.

‘He’s an amazing attacking player with great experience in the Bundesliga where he has scored a lot of goals,’ Azpilicueta told Sky Sports.

He has great experience in the Champions League and Germany’s squad at the international level. ‘He’s a big addition for our club. He can raise our level.

‘As I said before, he’s an amazing player, we know we to have help him to find the best position to score goals and also to adapt to the league as quickly as possible is very important. ‘Hopefully we can be competing for the top next season.’

Chelsea have been building a very strong team at the West London side under Frank Lampard. The Blues coach brought through a pipeline of new talents from the youth team last summer.

They have done really well for the club and Lampard has significantly strengthened the club this season. They have signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and now have secured German forward Timo Werner as well.

Kai Havertz drops huge Chelsea hint

Chelsea secured the signing of German forward Timo Werner yesterday.

The blues have been extremely active in their transfer market this year. They have also secured the signings of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig – and they are far from being done in the market.

They are being linked with big money signings like Ben Chilwell, the left back from Leicester City, Jadon Sancho the winger from Borussia Dortmund, and some have even suggested the Blues are in with a shout for five time Ballon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, the transfer speculation that is doing the most number of rounds in the rumour mill is one of Kai Havertz. The player has now fuelled the speculation by liking the official posts of Chelsea’s announcement of signing with Timo Werner – and no doubt, fans went crazy.

This was the official Chelsea post which Havertz liked:

Mourinho Accepts Spurs Fate Against Chelsea In Transfer Market

Mourinho Accepts Spurs Fate Against Chelsea In Transfer Market

Tottenham boss and former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has accepted that Spurs won’t be able to compete with the likes of Chelsea and Man United this summer.

The pandemic has drained the financial resources of several clubs, and Tottenham is not stranger to it. Chelsea has already conducted a signing with Timo Werner, and Mourinho is sure that his side will not be able to keep up with the other clubs in the transfer market.

“We know that we are going to be in the same league, in the same world, as clubs that are going to do completely different to us,” he said. ”You have now examples already of clubs investing and making important movements in the market and we are still nine matches away from the end of the season.

“But I think we are going always to be very balanced which is what Tottenham normally is. Would I expect us not to do anything and to stay exactly with the same squad that we have in this moment? My answer is no.

Mourinho wants to take a different way to improve his squad.

“I expect us to do some little important things and if we do our little important things and we improve in two, three positions that we need to improve in the squad, I am completely open to the challenge, I am completely supportive to the board, to the owners.

“And let’s go for it. But in this moment I am not even thinking about that because I am focused on these nine matches. It’s obvious for us that there are a certain level of options that are not for us. We have to admit that. But that’s a normal situation.

“So United bought Bruno Fernandes, Chelsea’s buying Ziyech and Werner, they can do what they want. It’s not our problem. We focus on ourselves. We are going to improve our squad in the way we can do it. No problem.”

10 Things You Need To Know About Chelsea’s New Star Signing – Timo Werner

Who is Timo Werner? What will he add to Chelsea? Chelsea has activated Timo Werner’s €60 million release clause to sign him out of RB Leipzig. This might possibly be the most impactful and exciting signing for the Blues under Frank Lampard. The German has garnered quite a reputation of being a prolific scorer, collecting 31 goals in 39 appearances so far into the 2019/20 season. He is highly versatile and lighting quick, which makes him a natural fit both at center-forward and on the flanks. He will add more dynamism, offensive output, and creativity to Chelsea’s front line.

Liverpool seemed like the favorites to sign Werner due to Jurgen Klopp’s German connection. However, Chelsea obviously, had the upper hand based on their current project under Lampard and how much playing time they can offer him. The Blues fans cannot wait to see him in the navy blues next season. But before that, let us take a look at exactly what made him the elite professional that he is today.

10 Things You Didn’t Know About Timo Werner

Here are 10 things you didn’t know about Frank Lampard’s second signing as Chelsea boss, Timo Werner –

10. A Born goalscorer

Who is Timo Werner

Timo Werner was born in Stuttgart to former amateur player and coach, Gunter Schuh. He joined VfB’s youth ranks at the age of six and very quickly started to show star potential. He grabbed 24 goals for their U19 side in the 2012/13 season and was promoted to the senior side next term.

9. Youngest debutant for Stuttgart

It is no surprise that a player of Werner’s quality had an early start to top-flight football. At the age of 17 years, four months and 25 days, he became the youngest ever player to make his debut for VfB Stuttgart. He also became the youngest player to record a brace in the Bundesliga with his two goals against Freiburg in November 2013, to make 50 and 100 Bundesliga appearances.

He even finished high school as a Bundesliga player. “I could have focused solely on football, but my mother really wanted me to finish school. I never considered not doing it, to be honest. That wouldn’t have been smart. In hindsight I’m quite proud that I managed to finish school and kick on with my professional football career,” he told Bundesliga.com.

8. Scored goals for fun at youth level

Werner had 32 goals in 37 matches for the Stuttgart U17 side. He also collected sensational scoring records for the German youth sides, netting in a hat-trick on his debut against Poland. He scored on his debuts for the U16 and U19 sides as well, eventually winning the 2015 Fritz Walter gold medal for being the country’s finest young talent. He won the silver medal a year later for the U19 category.

7. Has faced severe criticism

Probably not one of Timo Werner’s finest moments but worth noting in his career. The German forward was caught diving for a call in a 2-1 victory for RB Leipzig over FC Schalke. The referee awarded his team the penalty which eventually dictated the result of the match. For months afterward, Werner was booed by fans at every stadium he went to and even by German viewers while on international duty.

Werner maintains that it was not his intention to dive and that he even admitted that the Schalke keeper, Ralf Fährmann did not touch him.

6. Health concerns in Turkey

Timo Werner was pulled off just after 32 minutes of a Champions League tie against Istanbul. Apparently the hostile and loud atmosphere at the Vodafone Arena caused circulation problems for the striker. He came onto the pitch with earplugs and was seen constantly covering his ears with his hands, trying to block out the extreme noise.

5. Lightning fast

What will Timo Werner add to Chelsea

One of Timo Werner’s greatest attributes is his speed. He uses it strategically to neutralize team defenses. But just how fast is the German forward? Reports suggest that he clocked a time of 11.11 seconds over 100 meters, earning the nickname ‘Turbo Timo’ by the German media.

“I like to knock the ball three or four meters ahead of me when I’m on the counter or have space in front of me. That way I can increase the distance between a defender and myself,” he told Bundesliga.com about his pace.

He also told Köln-based Express, “I sometimes ran up mountains with my father. When I was younger it quickly became clear to me that if you want to become a professional, you have to do more.”

4. Sold for a club-record fee

RB Leipzig paid €10 million to sign Timo Werner from Stuttgart. At the time, that was the most expensive Die Rotens departure after his 4 years with the senior team.

3. An instant star at Leipzig

RB Leipzig was adding several top talents on their journey to the Bundesliga and Werner, by far, proved to be their best investment. The striker hit the ground running right upon his arrival, scoring 21 goals in 31 appearances in his first season.

2. Mario Gomez fan

Werner’s rapid rise in the game has been compared to former Die Schwaben graduate, Mario Gomez, a player he always looked up to. Despite their obvious differences in physical traits and style of play, Werner always admired Gomez’s impact for both club and country during his career. He called it a special experience playing with the veteran on the national team.

“When I was 11, 12, I used to have posters of Mario on my wall. Suddenly, there I was with Mario giving me high-fives and wishing me good luck on playing for Germany instead of him,” he told Bundesliga.com.

1. Wanted Manchester United or Liverpool move

Back in 2018, when his contract was running out with RB Leipzig, Werner was strongly linked with a Premier League switch. He was already recognized as a lethal forward back then and plenty of clubs were out to get him. He admitted to wanting a move to Old Trafford after watching their success while growing up.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, he said. “Yes, playing in the Premier League is a dream for me. I would like to play for two or three clubs, and Manchester United are one of those clubs. But probably not in the next few years – later, when my English is a little bit better! I’m very comfortable at RB Leipzig, though.

“Manchester United and Liverpool were the teams I watched quite a lot in England. They were the two that I’m a little bit a fan of because they have so much history. When Alex Ferguson was the coach, United won everything and was outstanding.”

The deal is done!

Timo Werner has officially joined the Blues. The German forward’s release clause of £53m has been officially triggered and personal details with the player had already been agreed. The Blues have finally announced their new signing:

Werner was chased by multiple clubs across Europe like Manchester United and Liverpool and Bayern Munich but it was Frank Lampard’s men who ultimately have managed to secure the signature.

Werner is reportedly set to join Chelsea by July on a five-year contract that will see him earn £10 million per year excluding bonuses.

Chelsea had already signed Hakim Ziyech earlier and now the addition of Werner would mean that the Blues have real firepower in their frontline.

Lampard will be happy with the signature as Werner would slot in nicely to the young players’ age bracket. Moreover, his versatility would mean that the former RB Leipzig man can play as an out and out striker or as a wing forward depending on the situation.

Chelsea seems determined in this season’s transfer window and has been further linked with Andre Onana, the goalkeeper of Ajax and Ben Chilwell, the Leicester City left-back.

LEGEND: John Terry's incredible Chelsea story!

Captain. Leader. Legend.

That is how we have come to see him and know him. A man committed to the Blues forever. However, it could all have been so wrong at the youth level, when JT had the chance to choose clubs likes Manchester United and Arsenal over an under-achieving and mediocre Chelsea team.

What did he do? The story is one for the fables.

“I had the option between Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United and to be fair all of them went above and beyond,” he told the Footballer’s Guide to Football podcast. “The moment I walked into Chelsea, it just felt right. I know that’s going to sound really bizarre.

“Again, my dad never wanted me to sign for Chelsea. Actually, on the pitch of me signing my schoolboy form at the club, my dad refused to go on the pitch with me.

“I’m in the tunnel, the players are coming off the pitch and I’m waiting in the tunnel, Glenn Hoddle goes past and my dad’s going, ‘You’re not signing for this football club, we should sign for Manchester United’.

“Again, me being me at the time I’m going, ‘I’m 100 per cent I’m signing here, if you don’t come out with me I’m going out to sign’. You needed a parent, so my mum said she would come and sign it with me, my dad’s going mad at my mum, ‘No you wont’.

“There’s a picture of my mum and Graham Rix signing my contract, but my dad refused and absolutely kicked off that night. Again, me being the character I was, I knew Chelsea was right for me.

“One night that was probably supposed to be one of the best nights of my life turned out to be a tough one for a young 14-year-old to be honest.

“I just knew and loved Chelsea from the moment I walked in and never looked back, I still love the club and look out for every result now.”
