Sarri's message to Chelsea Star amidst speculation over future

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has given his views on the transfer speculations surrounding Eden Hazard. The Chelsea talisman has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid and might be on his way to the Spanish capital next summer. The return of Zinedine Zidane as the manager of the Galacticos and the fact that the Belgian skipper is yet to sign a new contract at the west London club has added fuel to the speculation.

Sarri said, “We need Hazard to be at the top for the end of the season. Now we can’t solve the problem, the market is closed. I want to respect is decision. I don’t know if he has decided or not.”

Chelsea have been struggling to find form in the Premier League as they look for Champions League qualification in the next term. Speaking about the current conundrum, the manager said, “I think in the last period it will be very hard for all teams. We can reach the top four if we are not able to win 8 matches in a row. No [points target]. We need to go match by match.”

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is confident that English winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will ply his trade at Stamford Bridge in the next season as well. The 18-year-old, who made his debut for the three lions in the first match of the Euro 2020 qualifiers, has been linked with a move away from the west London club with big-name clubs like Manchester United and Bayern Munich ready to rope him in. He is yet to sign a new contract at the club but the Italian gaffer has said that he will stay at the club irrespective of whether he signs a contract at the club or not.

Sarri said, “I think the evolution is the right evolution. Probably, he will play 30-35 matches in the next season. And so I think that, with Callum, we are on the right path.”

He added, “So I saw the English national team only for 20-25 minutes and Callum didn’t start very well in the first 20 minutes on the right. He did very well on the left, immediately. But I know him very well and I know he prefers to play on the left. I don’t know (if it’s time for him to start a Premier League game). I know very well the situation because, in the last season, Callum was only 17 and he played three or four matches, I think.”

He concluded, “He is doing very well, but he needs to improve more because the potential is really very high. And so I don’t want him to stop improving. Because he can become, I think, one of the most important players in Europe. But he needs to improve more. So the risk is to stop improving.”

Cesc Fabregas has revealed his dream eleven as he himself fails to make the cut!

Cesc Fabregas is one of the greatest Premier League players to ever grace the game in England. His brains on the ball has been one of the best. Now he has come out with his dream eleven and it is indeed a tasty one!

In goal, he has put his national captain and Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas. The Spaniard is considered one of the best keepers.

He has a four man defence where his former Catalan teammates Jordi Alba and Dani Alves have made the team as full backs. Both are known for their overlapping attacking skills besides being full of energy. In centre back he has put one of the best ball playing defenders in Gerard Pique along with one of the most stylish modern day defenders in Chelsea legend John Terry.

In midfield, is his former captain Patrick Vieira screening the defence with Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta in front of him pulling the strings. On the wings are two players who are as magical as wizards in Belgian captain Eden Hazard and all time great Lionel Messi.

He has two forwards; one in the form of a bully of Diego Costa and another in the form of the great Thierry Henry!

Woah! What a team, Cesc!

Chelsea To Pay £9m Compensation To Antonio Conte

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has defended his time at Chelsea and reasoned why he should get the full compensation from Chelsea he is seeking in a legal battle against the club from South West London.

Conte took charge of the Blues in 2016 and had a brilliant first season when his team won the league title. He took on the debut season in a world war of managers with Mourinho, Klopp, Wenger, Pochettino and Guardiola in charge of other top teams but Conte prevailed.

His Chelsea team followed his 3 man back system as Conte’s men went on a 13 match win streak. Top scorer Diego Costa however, soon fell out with Conte and the follow up season was a bust as Conte sent the forward a message telling him about his ommision from the team.

Chelsea performed poorly on the pitch as well as the team finished fifth and the Blues hierarchy decided to sack Conte in July last year. This meant that the Italian was supposed to get a compensation for his 3 year contract which had another year to run but the Blues lawyers’ have taken the battle to court saying that the manager broke several rules which cost the club a lot of money, including throwing out Costa and parking the car in wrong areas.

Let’s see now who wins this ugly war but it does not look pretty for either side.

Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain has called it a day on his international career. Higuain made his debut for Argentina in a World Cup qualifier against Peru in 2009. Higuain scored on his debut in an eventual 2-1 win for Argentina.

Higuain has since gone on to make 75 appearances for the national team, scoring 31 goals and providing 13 assists. Higuain is Argentina’s 6th highest scorer of all-time, behind Lionel Messi, Gabriel Batistuta, Sergio Aguero, Hernan Crespo and Diego Maradona.

Higuain played a key role in Argentina’s run to the 2014 World Cup final; he scored their winner against Belgium in the quarter-finals. The striker was also part of the squads that reached two Copa America finals in 2015 and 2016, netting four goals in the latter tournament.

However, Higuain’s best tournament for Argentina was the 2010 World Cup where he scored 4 goals. He scored the competition’s only hat-trick against South Korea.

Higuain’s last match for Argentina was their World Cup group match against Nigeria. The Chelsea striker wasn’t chosen for the national team following the competition and has announced his international retirement today.

Speaking to Fox Sports, the 31-year old said, “I think that it is over, thinking things through in depth, my time is up. I want to enjoy my family, and my time. To the joy of many, and maybe not so much for others, my time is up.

You can now stop worrying about whether I am there or not. We have been called failures for making three straight finals and not winning them, one of those a World Cup. For me failing is something else, but now let them take care of the new players, a lot of people enjoy criticising more than supporting.”

Higuain will now focus on Chelsea’s next match against Cardiff City on Sunday.

Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo has said he does not want to return to his parent club.

“The football here suits my style and the club provides a stable platform for me,” he told BBC Sport.

“The opportunity to play against the best players in the world is massive for my career. There is an option for Leganes to sign me on a permanent basis and hopefully that will happen.”

The Chelsea management have never stopped me from making important career decisions and they’ve been very supportive,” he added.

“It will be a decision between both clubs, but personally I hope I’ll be a Leganes player for next season and beyond.

“I deserve stability in my career as a footballer. Leganes and Spanish football provides me with the continuity and right environment for career growth.

“After enduring instability with different loan moves, it’s time to finally settle down with my young family.

“Leganes fans and club officials have been awesome to my family which has helped me mentally and physically.

“It has also helped me with the national team and to connect with fans back home because La Liga is on television in Nigeria.

“I’d love to stay at this football club and hopefully that will happen.”

Chelsea were hit with a transfer ban a few weeks ago. The Blues were charged by FIFA over improper and illegal signings made by the club for some underage footballers.

Now it seems that the impact of it will fall on certain players who are desperate to leave the club. Chelsea have appealed the ban but will have to comply with it until it is reversed.

The Blues have an young budding player in Andreas Christensen who it seems is ready for first team action but has been overlooked not only for playing time but now seems unable to be able to leave the club either.

“The messages we’ve got are that Chelsea can’t appeal the case and therefore want to keep all the players,” the 22-year-old told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet. “The situation I have ended up in has been very difficult to accept.”

“I have tried to show myself on the training track, but it is difficult because it is limited how much we train with all the matches the team is going to play,” the centre-back added.

“Now I have played the matches in the Europa League and hope it will continue as long as we are in the tournament.”

Ross Barkley Reveals Why He Wanted The Chelsea Move

Ross Barkley insists he deserved the Chelsea move and has already proven his worth since moving to the Stamford Bridge.

The Former Everton player arrived in West London when Antonio Conte was in charge. Persistent injury problems coupled with off form hindered his development as the 25 year old had hardly any chance to justify his selection.

But since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri the English international has been featuring pretty regularly. There had been concerns whether the Everton academy product would manage to build on his earlier success but all the speculations have been put to bed as he has racked up 23 appearances in the Premier League so far.

His attributes have been very encouraging and his Chelsea form also earned him a recall to the England team.

Barkley said, “I am away from my family and down in London by myself. I am in a totally different environment from Liverpool. I miss being with my family, it is totally different. It is how I am maturing as a person and a player. It is good.

“Since I made the move it was good to challenge myself and win trophies and to improve as a player. I’ve changed compared to when I was 18, 19 or 20. My diet is much better. My approach to games is much better and I am going into them with the right preparation and I am more relaxed, rather than think about things too much.”

How Chelsea Can Raise £220m Without Flinching

Chelsea have been led by a very queer transfer approach of buying young players in bulk and then shipping them out on loan spells to make a higher profit out of their sales.

However, this strategy seems to have blown up in their faces with the club set to serve a ban from the upcoming two transfer windows. The Blues are trying to postpone the consequences beyond this summer market in order to bring in all the necessary talents immediately.

The only hiccup is all their finances are not in order. Chelsea are no longer the biggest bully in the England top-flight with an endless treasure chest as compared to the two Manchester outfits.

They are going to have to figure out ways to raise money fast. Bringing in potential replacements for Eden Hazard, Gonzalo Higuain, David Luiz or Willian will in no way be cheap in the present market especially with the time crunch the Blues are in.

Their best chance is to look into their massive rank of loan players both young and old. The South West London club currently have 41 players on the club’s books who are with different outfits, 16 of them full internationals.

Many of them have a buy-back clause which can be activated after the 2018/19 season. Tiemoue Bakayoko can be offloaded to AC Milan, Kenneth Omeruo at Leganes, Victorien Angban to Metz, Lucas Piazon to Chievo, Danilo Pantic to Partizan Belgrade, Ola Aina to Torino, Mario Pasalic to Atalanta and Alvaro Morata to Atletico Madrid.

All of these names can bring in £120m with Morata and Bakayoko racking up majority of the bill. Then there are young promising stars like Trevoh Chalobah, Fikayo Tomari, Tammy Abraham, Reece James and Mason Mount, all of whom can cost around £20m apiece.

The Blues also have older players who no longer have a future with them like Victor Moses, Michael Hector and Lewis Baker.
