The Blues are ready to offload one of the most expensive defenders they signed last summer. The Spaniard has struggled in his debut season with Chelsea and made 33 appearances in all competitions.

It was reported back in the summer that the Blues would be willing to cash in on the player if the right offer comes in January. Chelsea have paid £60m for the versatile defender who has unexpectedly performed well with the new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham are closely monitoring the defender’s situation and are eyeing up a replacement for Ivan Perisic. Spurs new boss Ange Postecoglou wants Cucurella to deploy alongside Yves Bissouma in his new system. Watch & Bet Football Live Here =>

Armando Broja has struggled for regular game time since his return from injury and could be out of Stamford Bridge this January transfer window. He needs more minutes to develop and it’s unlikely he would get that opportunity at Chelsea.

The price tag on the Albanian is unknown, but he has attracted the attention of a few Turkish club who wants the forward on a permanent deal.

Mauricio Pochettino has the intention to sign more players but the club needs to cut down their spending and recoup some money in the market now. Broja has proven himself in his previous loan spell at Southampton, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up this January. Watch & Bet Football Live Here =>

3. Ian Maatsen is another player that will be sold out in January 2024

The young defender was one of the few players from Chelsea who impressed Mauricio Pochettino in the pre-season games. Maatsen has struggled for minutes and has been limited to only 130 minutes of Premier League action across nine appearances this season. The 21-year-old has 18 months remaining on his contract and Chelsea would like to recoup a decent fee in the January window.

The Dutch might stay for this season but Maatsen has gained the attention of Burnley, West Ham United and a few other Premier League clubs. Chelsea could stand to make a pretty penny from his sale in the winter window who is considered as surplus to Mauricio Pochettino’s requirements. Watch & Bet Football Live Here =>

2. Kepa Arrizabalaga is one of the Chelsea players to be sold in 2024

Kepa Arrizabalaga was once the biggest signing when he joined Chelsea under Maurizio Sarri. The goalkeeper now finds himself comfortably in the La Liga. The Spaniard has joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan this summer to make an emergency replacement for Thibaut Courtois who picked up an ACL injury during pre-season

Chelsea explored the possibility of permanently selling the Spaniard out during the summer window and the goalkeeper could land a long-term contract this January.

Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Newcastle United are planning to sign him and they are facing good competition from La Liga clubs. The London giants will allow the player to leave for £13 million at the end of the campaign

1. Trevoh Chalobah is one of the first Chelsea players to be sold in 2024

The English defender is currently not included in Mauricio Pochettino’s plan and Chelsea wants to offload him in the January window. He struggled with injuries and form in the 2022/23 campaign and has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Axel Disasi from Monaco this summer.

Bayern Munich were interested in signing Chalobah on a permanent deal but the Bavarians have now pulled out of the race. The 24-year-old defender pockets around £50,000-per-week, and is contracted until the summer of 2028. He has suffered a thigh injury and Chelsea would struggle to find potential suitors due to his recurring injury struggles.

  5. We really need defence to be strong enough & goalkeeper we need to take epl & others cups as a blues we r strong then we look

  6. Already we have thiago and chillwell how about kurt and ruridz please lets think about our center back

  7. I’m so glad that Frank Lampard is trying to build a competitive team with the aim of winning both games and cups. But he needs to make improvements in the defence and also reinforce the midfield with players like Declan Rice and Thomas Partey. And he should make errors of selling Kante and Jorginho before he has that midfield of his dream. He has sent Barkley on loan to create opportunities for other midfielders in particular Mason Mount and probably Jorginho too or Declan Rice. There are times when some of them will be in injury, and also we play multi competitions. That means he need to have atleast two competitors for a position. Let him add more but offload wisely and with much care.
