Rabesandratana Urges PSG To Sign Kante

According to former PSG midfielder Eric Rabesandratana, the club requires a player like Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante rather than Barca legend Lionel Messi.

He has urged PSG to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

“I would like to say that if I were a leader at PSG I would break the bank to sign N’Golo Kante,” he told radio station France Bleu.

“He was still huge yesterday. Kante is the player who would allow PSG to win the Champions League. We do not need Messi or anyone else.”

“He played about 50 per cent of the games last year and that is a big loss for half the season, a player of his level,” Lampard said.

“So I made a big, big step to try to manage his training and games and make sure that we attempt to have him fit and ready for as many games as we can.

“His attributes are incredible, he can play in many positions in the midfield. The energy and ability to win the ball back, but also his ability on the ball, which is sometimes underrated, is amazing. He can play in different roles.

“People always want to talk about that he’s the best defensive midfielder and should be in a deeper role. But he can play in lots of different roles to massive effect and I am pleased he is fit now. We will have to keep managing that to make sure he stays fit, because he is massively important.”

Ben Chilwell Raves About World-Class Werner – ‘He’s Up There’

Ben Chilwell Raves About World-Class Werner - 'He's Up There'

Ben Chilwell likened Timo Werner to Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane.

Chelsea signed both in the summer transfer window and the two have got off to blinding start to the season.

Speaking on Soccer AM, Chilwell said, “I’d already say he’s up there with them two [Kane and Vardy] and he can definitely go on to be absolutely world-class for a long time for the next 10 years or so.

“I think when you look at his age and how prolific he is in front of goal, even now his start to Chelsea he’s scored a lot of goals already. Just in front of goal he’s so good.”

Werner has scored 8 goals in 12 games so far this season and laid out 3 assists. Chilwell continued, “He has similar characteristics to both Vards and Harry, to be fair.

“In terms of running the channels and how quick he is it’s similar to Vards. With Harry his link-up play and is finishing is similar. He’s definitely in a category with them two.”

Werner has definitely made an impact up front but his best position is yet to be decided. Chilwell on the other hand, has made the left-back post his own, as was expected when he switched over from Leicester City for £50m.

Declan Rice Defends Mount And Grealish Rivalry

Declan Rice Defends Mount And Grealish Rivalry

Declan Rice has defended Mason Mount’s comparison with England teammate Jack Grealish.

Rice doesn’t feel why any rivalry should exist between the two.

“We don’t speak about it but I think it’s very harsh,” Rice said when asked about the negative social media surrounding Mount.

“I witness it here, when I come to train here and I have trained with him since I was a kid.

“So I know what his mentality is like, I know how hard-working and how driven he is and it is no surprise you know that Gareth picks him, Frank (Lampard) picks him.

“I think if you give every Premier League manager the chance to pick him, they pick him as well because if you see day in, day out what he gives to the team as an individual, he’s a top talent – so I think that the criticism is very harsh.”

“I think if you look at Jack and you look at Mason, obviously there’s always going to be comparisons but they pretty much play in two different parts of the pitch,” he added.

“Mason now at Chelsea is playing as an attacking number eight and Jack is playing off the left.

“I think you could see the other night that they can both play in the same team for sure and they’re both great players that I think we should be valuing.

Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner’s partnership can make Chelsea a powerful force in this campaign.

Summer arrivals Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech have ten goal contributions among them in eight league matches for the Chelsea Football club.

Former Blues legend Cesc Fabregas claims Ziyech’s vision and Werner’s raw pace can be a lethal force to reckon with.

“He has this vision that you need in a top team like Chelsea who wants to win and be champions,” Fabregas said.

“‘It’s true that they were a team a little bit lacking ideas in the last season and maybe at the beginning of this season.

“‘But yeah, with Ziyech, you can see that he has this last pass and it’s not only that he sees it, it’s that he makes it right and at the right time.

“This is the decision-making we talk about nowadays. Why are coaches so tactical? Because they see that the decision-making of the players is not that good so they need to teach them always what to do.

“You know, before, I believe coaches were not so much on top of the player because they felt maybe that there wasn’t so much need because they felt maybe that there wasn’t so much need because already the players sort it by themselves.

“I think he’s one of these players that makes things happen. Things that, when the defenders or the centre-backs don’t expect you to make that pass and you catch them sleeping.

“And you have someone like Timo Werner making great runs in behind and I think this is where Chelsea could be so powerful this year.”

Ben Chilwell keen to make an impact at Stamford Bridge

Chilwell wants to contribute more in the final third.

The England left-back has two goals and two assists in five Premier League games so far.

Having missed the first part of the campaign with an injury from last season, he made a goal and an assist on his debut against Crystal Palace.

“The manager and the coaching staff are always telling me to get in at the back post and get up there and score more goals and get more assists,” Chilwell told Chelsea’s website.

“I can’t be happy just to put crosses in, but want to score and get more assists. I have tried to add that to my game this season.

“Defensively, playing alongside the likes of Thiago Silva, Zoum [Kurt Zouma], Reece [James], Azpi [Cesar Azpilicueta], Edou [Mendy] behind, everyone that’s been there has been brilliant.

“When you’re playing with people around you who you are confident in, it gives you more confidence in the way you play. I feel like I have found it comfortable because of how everyone has been with me.

“You have to pick and choose your moments [to get forward]. What I have found that is brilliant is when I do get forward at the back post and I turn round, I have got Mason there covering me, N’Golo [Kante], Jorginho, they are covering me, and then you’ve got Thiago and Zoum who eat everything up at the back.

“I know when I do get forward the players behind me are doing a brilliant job in terms of stopping the counter-attack.”

Gilmour lifts the lid on nightmare injury

Billy Gilmour is back in the mix after a nightmare injury.

The young teenager broke into the first team under Frank Lampard last season. He impressed really well with many stars lauding the youngster.

Gilmour was given the man of the match award when Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-0 in the FA Cup with the youngster calling the shots in midfield and then running circles around Fabinho.

However, he was injured shortly after and is now angling to make a comeback after a long time. Such an injury at a young age has given him time to reflect and grow stronger mentally.

“It wasn’t the best timing,” said Gilmour on his knee injury while on international duty with Scotland.

“I’ve been out for four months with my meniscus, my right knee. The recovery has been going well and i’ve been back training with the team, and I’ve come here [to Scotland’s U21’s] to get some minutes hopefully.”

“I’m enjoying it, it’s great experience and it’s great for my development to go and play with these world class players,” added Gilmour.

“There’s so many trophies in there and I’m learning everyday.”

Timo Werner – Playing In England Has Made Me More Robust

Timo Werner - Playing In England Has Made Me More Robust

Timo Werner is seeing clear improvements to his game after coming into the Premier League.

Chelsea signed him from RB Leipzig last summer for £45 million against interest from various other outfits.

Werner has already scored 8 goals in 12 outings this season while also laying out 3 assists. The German has taken to life with his previous season’s form intact. It did take him a few games to get adjusted but he is already looking much better with each passing gameweek.

Frank Lampard has deployed Werner both as a number nine and out on the flanks. The forward has scored from both positions but looks to be better suited with a wide role.

Speaking at a press conference, the Blues star said, “In England, they play long balls a lot, the style of play is a bit different from here in the national team.

“I am becoming more robust myself because I have to deal with so many robust opportunities. That also helps in the national team, but there are always other things that matter.”

Werner always was prepared for the physical nature of the Premier League. His speed, technique and scoring ability only makes it harder for to make him stop.

Emerson Headed For The Serie A In January

Emerson Headed For The Serie A In January

Emerson’s future at Chelsea is over and the player knows it.

Frank Lampard was happy to let him walk last summer but could not find any suitable offers.

The player signed from AS Roma while Antonio Conte was still in the Stamford Bridge hot seat. Unable to tie down a starting role, the fullback has grown frustrated and is only waiting to head out.

Emerson said, “I’m not playing a lot but I’m calm, I’m confident that things are gonna change, here or elsewhere.

“In two months we will see if I will have had some space at Chelsea, or we will evaluate other options. I had received some offers, surely I would like to come back to Serie A.”

The January transfer window is closing in and plenty of names could be on Chelsea’s exit sheet. Ben Chilwell is Lampard’s prefered choice at left-back with Marcos Alonso as the deputy. Emerson’s talents simply never worked in the English game.

Other players who could leave along with him are Danny Drinkwater, Baba Rahman, Charly Musonda and Olivier Giroud. Chelsea have spent a lot on their current lineup of star players. Now, Lampard needs to move out the dead weight to keep improving his team in the following windows.

Chelsea youth team star Billy Gilmour has talked about preparing himself to challenge for a spot in the Chelsea team this season.

“I’m enjoying it. It’s a great experience and great for my development to play with these world-class players. There’s so many trophies in there and I’m learning every day,” Gilmour said while on duty with Scotland’s U21 side.

“It’s nice to get recognised for the good stuff. I’m going to keep working hard and continuing my form once I’m back from my injury.

“It’s going to be a hard team to get into but hopefully, I’ll get more game time and experience.”

GIlmour has linked up with Scotland’s U21 squad this week, adding: “It wasn’t the best timing but the recovery has been going well.

“It’s amazing to be back with the squad. I’ve been out for a long time so I can’t wait to get back and try to help the team qualify. For us, it’s been a long time since an Under-21 team has qualified but we have two games where we have a really good chance of making some history.”

Lamptey talks about why he left Chelsea

Lamptey talks about why he left Chelsea
Bildbyran

Former Chelsea youthlet Tariq Lamptey has talked about why he left the club.

Explaining his move, Lamptey told 90min: “I’m an ambitious boy. I look at things and enjoy them in the moment, but the next day I’m looking to see what I need to improve on and how I can stay at that level. I’m always looking for a chance to play again, and that moment made me even more hungry. I’d had a taste of it and I wasn’t going to let it go.

“I sat down with the coaches, family members and agents and thought about what’s best for me. It was a really tough decision.

“Being at a club since the age of nine, going up through the whole system and making your first-team debut, everything happened so quickly, but I had to look at where I would get the most football and how I could take my game to the next level.

“It wasn’t an easy decision. I thought about it every day. But the opportunity came for me to come to Brighton, which is a fantastic club with a really good plan for the team, and the move made a lot of sense.

“There was quite a few options to go to, but I sat down with my family and talked about where would be best for me, where could help me develop, and I thought Brighton would be the best club for me.”
