Chelsea winger set to leave the club this summer

Chelsea winger has scored 10 goals and provided six assists from 44 Championship matches.

One of the key Chelsea attackers is set to leave the club in the summer transfer window. The young winger is currently on loan and is unlikely to return at Stamford Bridge.

Omari Hutchinson joined Chelsea from Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. The 20-year-old enjoyed a strong debut season with the Chelsea youth team, scoring seven goals and setting up eight more in 21 Premier League 2 fixtures.

The Jamaica international also made two first-team appearances in the Premier League and FA Cup. He was loaned out to Ipswich Town for the 2023-24 season. His club is now back to the Premier League after finishing second to Leicester City.

Hutchinson was the key player for Ipswich in pursuit of earning the top-flight entry for the first time since the 2001-02 season. He has scored 10 goals and provided six assists from 44 Championship matches.

The 20-year-old will see his contract expire at the end of next season. While talking to Sky Sports News, he revealed that he wants to stay at Portman Road for a little while longer.

“I hope to stay at Ipswich Town also next season. We’ll see my agent and the manager says… I am speechless. It’s the best loan I could have ever imagined!”
