Mason Mount is ready to accept that it has been a tough start for Chelsea this season and there are certain pressures while playing for the national team. However, he remains unfazed by it.

“I don’t really look at that pressure,” he stated. “I don’t really look at any other thing but focusing on how I perform, what I can do in the game.

“My family have always said: ‘Don’t worry about the pressure side.’ I’ve always stuck to that.

“I think [the transfer ban] maybe played a part but you’ve got to work hard to earn your starting place. All the boys have done that. The Premier League is definitely a big step up but you’ve got to be ready.”

He went on to admit that it has been a tough start for Chelsea as well. However, he feels that they have a young and new team at the Bridge. He goes on to state that they have been working hard to improve on it as well.

Mount has been one of Chelsea’s bright spots this season alongside Tammy Abraham. Chelsea will be hoping to sort out their defensive lapses quickly so that they can get back to winning ways.
