Callum Hudson-Odoi has talked about the improving chemistry between Ziyech and him right now.

“Hakim and I have that little partnership where we know one another’s capabilities and what one can do,” Hudson-Odoi told the official Chelsea website.

“As soon as he got the ball I made the run because I knew he can find those passes. It was a great ball by him to find me in behind.”

“We keep improving and keep working hard,” added the 20-year-old.

“This game was a good step for us, we want to go back into the right way of winning games, so hopefully this is a start of good things and we keep going and keep pushing.

“We want to keep pushing on from this game and hopefully keep winning games and get a good run. As I said, this game was a good step. I feel like we needed this game to show the right mentality and attitude to get the job done.

“We kept a clean sheet and scored four goals which is a good thing for us. We want to keep improving at both ends of the pitch. We are all going into the next game against Fulham full of confidence trying to win that game as well

Chelsea’s famous interim coach Avram Grant could be on the line back to the club.

At least that is what Roman wants. He wants Avram back at the club not to replace Frank but to add to his coaching staff as he brings with him a wealth of experience.

Recently, Grant backed Frank publicly to get more time on social media.

“About the current situation, I can say only this. You need to be strong when things are not going well, when things are going well everyone is a genius and knows what to do,” Grant said in an Instagram post.

“But in the situation like this when things aren’t going well you need to be strong, look for solutions and show a lot about your character.

“What I can say to Frank and the others at the club is be patient, and more than this do whatever is necessary to do, that’s for sure. Two things: never lose it even when things are going well, don’t lose your fighting spirit at the highest level.

“And second, don’t lose what you have here [points at head] – you need to think right and look for solutions. If you do that, then everything will be OK because the quality is there and there is a potential like there was [at Chelsea] in my time.”

Billy Gilmour wants to emulate Cesc Fabregas’ ability to create from the deep.

The 19-year old has been out of action since last July due to a knee injury and came twice off the bench this campaign in the Premier League.

He will be looking to make his way into the crowded Chelsea midfield as he wants to mimic Fabregas’ career with the Blues.

Cesc Fabregas who won two Premier League titles with Chelsea had the ability in creating attacks from the middle of the park.

‘When I was watching Cesc, it was all about his forward passes to the striker, whether that was a lofted pass, a clipped ball or just a simple through ball,’ Gilmour told Chelsea’s official website.

‘He was one of the best at doing that, especially at Chelsea, and I want to add that more to my own game, but it comes first of all from being aware of what’s around you.

‘He speaks a lot about the boys because he obviously used to be here but it’s always nice seeing a top midfielder like that comment on your game.’

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko might be planning to join Napoli.

His agent has hinted that the French player who is on loan at Naples is keen to make his move permanent.

“He is very happy to score his first goal for the club, it’s been a long time since he had scored the last one,” his brother and agent Abdoulaye told Radio Marte. “The goal has boosted his confidence; he always wants to help the team.”

Talks over a move have yet to begin, but Abdoulaye says joining Napoli will be Bakayoko’s priority.

“It’s too early to talk about that (a permanent move), there are many things that must be considered.

“He is on loan until the end of the season and he hasn’t talked to the club yet, but staying at Napoli would be a nice opportunity, so we will see.

“He has played for many clubs, but he is happy at Napoli. The results are there and this club would be an ideal option for the future.

“Napoli are title contenders; a positive ending is in everyone’s interest. Napoli will be his priority in June.”

Fikayo Tomori Ready To Be Shipped Out To AC Milan

Fikayo Tomori Ready To Be Shipped Out To AC Milan

Fikayo Tomori is on AC Milan’s radar as Chelsea are looking for suitors.

Frank Lampard does not deem the centre-half good enough for his squad and is ready to pawn him off for a future star.

The Blues are already looking at top defensive talents like Declan Rice and Dayot Upamecano. Signing them would mean that at least one of the current players in the position will have to make way.

Tomori could be the most valuable out of the trio of him, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen. He is very young at 23 and has shown plenty of promise last season before going down to an injury. Despite earning an England cap for his displays, he does not have a future at Stamford Bridge.

AC Milan are looking to strengthen at the back with Fabrizio Romano claiming that two players have been shortlisted. Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan is Milan coach, Stefan Pioli’s first choice. He aims to bring in an athletic figure to help in Milan’s title charge this season.

The Rossoneri sit three points clear of rivals Inter Milan at the top of the Serie A. They just lost their first match in 27 against Juventus last week. Then they beat Torino 2-0 at home while Antonio Conte’s men drew 2-2 against Roma.

Frank Lampard had enough of Roman’s money

Signings in the January window are not the answer to getting the team back to winning ways according to Blues legend.

The Blues spent over €200M in the last summer window when most of the top European clubs were financially crippled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chelsea have lost the last four of their six Premier League meetings and there have been talks of Frank Lampard getting sacked.

Chelsea legend Alan Hudson believes that the club should not look for any January transfer to solve their dreadful form in the Premier League.

“I agree it was a ‘walk in the park’ against a lower league team, to be expected,” said Hudson.

“The problem Frank has now is that this means nothing if you take into account the two performances that were not good enough (Arsenal and Manchester City), which if they had performed would have kept them right in there, therefore they would have given themselves a breather, instead the heat is on.”

“As for January signings, I think Roman (Abramovich) has given Frank enough money to get that front line sorted out but it hasn’t happened and the owner might be having second thoughts about both spending and whether Frank is the answer?”

Lampard happy for German duo

Frank Lampard has expressed his happiness for Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

Both players have struggled for Chelsea in their debut season but managed to get 2 goals and an assists between them last night as Chelsea cruised to a 4-0 win against Morecambe.

“I’m just pleased for him because strikers want to score goals, he’s had a lot of near misses in that time. He’d been getting into positions to score goals but they hadn’t been going in for him

“So I was pleased to play him today and for him to get confidence and get a goal. He gets his goal and that’s important.

“With him and Kai coming into the Premier League, some of the greatest Premier League players have needed time to settle to the league. And it’s a nice little step for both of them.”

Lampard put out a strong team against a league two opponent and Frank has hailed his team for their professional attitude.

“It was professional,” he said. “We could have scored more goals maybe but the game was very comfortable, although it wasn’t easy.

“Credit to Morecambe because they were very organised, sat deep and in the early parts of the game they covered all the spaces. It took a while to break them down but I was pleased. It was a game we should win with the squad we have and we did because we did everything right.

“We’ve had some results we don’t like recently so it was an important part of the process to deal with this game in the right way.”

Fikayo Tomori is set for a loan move in January.

The 23-year old defender has barely made a start this season and has gone down in the pecking order of Lampard’s centre-back choices.

Tomori featured in the second-half in Blues’ 4-0 win over Morecambe and prior to that his last feature was back in September against Spurs in the Carabao Cup.

Lampard said: “The situation with Fikayo is open at the moment. There is a possibility he could be going on loan to get games somewhere else.

“So that would have to be the solution for him and the club. That was part of my thinking of not starting him today.

“I gave him some minutes at the end but while we were looking at that I wanted to make sure it was the right thing for the club and for him and individually. So that’s why he didn’t start.

“But his attitude, even though he hasn’t played much recently, has been fantastic in training and in how he is.”

Frank Lampard Understands He Will Get No Speacial Treatment From Abramovich

Frank Lampard Understands He Will Get No Speacial Treatment From Abramovich

Frank Lampard does not expect any favours from Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich.

He fully believes that his 18-month return to Stamford Bridge has justified not getting the sack now.

Keep in mind, Chelsea sit ninth in the table after winning just one league game out of their last five. Abramovich invested heavily in the summer market, allowing Lampard to spend in excess of £200m.

Lampard did show plenty of promise after guiding Chelsea to a Champions League spot with a fairly young squad. The Blues even had the chance to clinch some silverware but lost the FA Cup final narrowly to Arsenal 2-1.

Recent reports indicate that the Russian might axe Lampard despite the latter being a club legend. When questioned about his relationship with Abramovich, Lampard said, “It is his prerogative.

“When he came to Chelsea, it made my career because maybe I would have gone on elsewhere, or whatever would have happened in my personal career. But fortunately, I was at a club that had an owner that changed the face of it and changed my life.

“But I don’t think that should give me any head start and the job I did last year, in one year, to get us to fourth was a huge positive because of the constraints. After that, now I need to go again.”
