Both the managers will face each other at Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

The Cityzens currently sit top of the table, ten points ahead of Chelsea in the league table.

Tuchel believes his team has to outdo Man City in order to catch them in the title race.

Pep Guardiola went on explaining how he’s heavily influenced by the German tactician ahead of their meeting.

“So creative. One of the few managers I learn constantly from, to become a better manager myself. Excellent in all departments,” said the Spaniard.

“I enjoy since in Mainz and Dortmund, always I enjoy watching his teams and the approach.

“He makes world football better. He always wants to be positive in the way they play.

“He [Thomas Tuchel] didn’t like the way they played at home so they are going to play a different way.

“Seeing the Liverpool game and Spurs, I saw at Chelsea that they were completely different to what we played in Stamford Bridge.

“Football is every day. The best games were in the last few days.

“Football is constant evolution. You have periods where you play good, the key is to sustain that for as long as possible.

“Tomorrow we face the European champion. An excellent team.”

Kai Havertz should start ahead of Lukaku in Man City clash.

After his recent apology, the Belgian striker has been restored to the Chelsea lineup and featured in both Carabao Cup semi-finals against Tottenham Hotspur.

Former England midfielder Fara Williams believes the manager should rather opt for Kai Havertz instead of Lukaku in Man City clash.

“I think Kai Havertz could be a better shout against Man City than Lukaku,” Williams told Premier League productions.

“It’s hard to say that because, look, if you were to ask me earlier on in the season who to start, when Lukaku was in form and scoring goals, it would be easy.

“So of course it would be a big decision but Lukaku looks like a player lacking confidence. He looks like a player who is desperate to show he wants to be there.

“He was so desperate against Tottenham to show Chelsea fans that he wanted to be there. But in that desperation, you don’t perform. When you put too much expectation on yourself it can be hard to deliver.

“He was working hard off the ball which we haven’t seen often but that’s not his game.

“I feel like he’s not at the levels that Havertz is at right now. And Chelsea need everyone at their best to beat Man City.”

According to a recent report by the Spanish website Fichajes, Paris Saint-Germain have increased their focus to capture Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger during the summer transfer season.

Antonio Rudiger has been a vital part in Tuchel’s defence since he took over at Chelsea. Rudiger also played a key role in Chelsea’s UCL victory last season, in which they preserved a number of clean sheets, including one against Manchester City in the finals.

The Chelsea defender’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he is said to be a free agent target for Paris Saint-Germain, with the Blues defender being offered a €7 million-a-year contract.

After a rocky start to his Chelsea career, the German international has now solidified his spot in the team and is an important part of Chelsea’s great defence, which has maintained several clean sheets with Rudiger on the pitch. The German connection of Rudiger and Thomas Tuchel is working wonderfully for the club, and the results are visible on the field, with Chelsea conceding only 16 goals in 21 Premier League games.

Chelsea is said to be struggling to satisfy Antonio Rudiger’s wage demands this season, as he enters the last year of his contract. After five seasons with the club in London, it is not surprising that the German would seek a new challenge next season.

Antonio Rudiger has been instrumental for Chelsea in recent times.

The German defender scored the only goal in Chelsea’s over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final which secured their place in the finals.

This is his 3rd goal of the season and his second goal against Spurs in the current season.

The defender has entered the final six months of his contract and is yet to renew his deal with the Blues.

He has attracted interests from several European clubs like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and PSG.

Rudiger’s teammate Cesar Azpilicueta believes the 28-year old defender will pen a new deal with the Blues.

Azpilicueta said: ‘He’s getting very dangerous, scoring goals. He is a great threat on set-plays and in this game he made the difference with the goal and, of course, with his defensive contribution.

‘Toni has developed really well since he arrived. He has had a very big impact. Now he’s even a big threat on set-plays, which is amazing.

‘The aggression that he has, the way he plays with the ball, it’s a pleasure to have him in our team.’

Kepa’s Valliant efforts and a consistent attitude has helped him carve out a turnaround for himself under Tuchel’s management and guidance.

The Spaniard signed for the Blues in 2018 for a total of £71.6 million, making him the world’s most expensive goalkeeper.

Fans were generally pleased with Kepa’s performance in his first season; however, things went horribly wrong once Maurizio Sarri left, and he was eventually dropped by Frank Lampard.

But, under Thomas Tuchel, he’s made a spectacular comeback, as Sky highlighted with a graph comparing his performance to “expected goals.” Of course, under Tuchel, he’s mostly played in cup games against lower-league opponents, which is an essential reminder to keep in mind when looking at these figures.

Under Tuchel, he has played 15 games of which he has kept a clean sheet in 62% of them and also recorded a save percentage of 83%.

His brilliance was on full display as he helped Chelsea keep a clean sheet against Tottenham.

Ashley Cole insists club must fight to keep hold of Toni Rudiger

Rudiger has been a key part of Thomas Tuchel’s team.

Chelsea legend Ashley Cole believes club must fight for Toni Rudiger who is supposed to leave this summer. Rudiger has been an important defender for Tuchel and helped Chelsea to win the Champions League last season.

Rudiger was on the scoresheet as Chelsea beat Spurs 1-0 on the night and booked their place in to the final of the Carabao Cup.

His future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain and Chelsea didn’t plan to extend his contract. The centre-back is a key part of Thomas Tuchel’s team but any delay from the club might give him the chance to leave the club.

While talking on Sky Sports, Cole said: “Rudiger was brilliant. You can’t lose top, top key players in this dressing room. I think he can do everything.

“He can play out from the back, he can start attacks, he doesn’t like to beat one v one, so he puts his body on the line. He’s becoming a real leader. He’s temperamental at times.”

Thomas Tuchel claims his Chelsea team’s Carabao Cup ambitions to be fueled by it’s shocking defeat to Leicester in last year’s FA cup final.

The Foxes outfoxed the Blues in the FA cup final tie last year. Youri Tielemans’ strike broke many Chelsea hearts as Leicester went on to lift the FA Cup trophy.

“It will not help [that we have the experience of reaching a final] because we lost the match against Leicester,” said Tuchel. “We have to swallow it and move on.

Tuchel and his squad look determined to reach the Carabao Cup Final after a 2-0 win against Tottenham in the first leg of their Semi-Final draw.

“It hurts. It always hurts to lose. But if you make it your final you always have the risk to lose a final of course.”

Chelsea looks in dominant form as they have now won four of their last six in all competitions. Their last two victories coming against Chesterfield in the FA Cup third round and last week’s victory in the Carabao tournament against Spurs.
