Antonio Rudiger has been instrumental for Chelsea in recent times.
The German defender scored the only goal in Chelsea’s over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final which secured their place in the finals.
This is his 3rd goal of the season and his second goal against Spurs in the current season.
The defender has entered the final six months of his contract and is yet to renew his deal with the Blues.
He has attracted interests from several European clubs like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and PSG.
Rudiger’s teammate Cesar Azpilicueta believes the 28-year old defender will pen a new deal with the Blues.
Azpilicueta said: ‘He’s getting very dangerous, scoring goals. He is a great threat on set-plays and in this game he made the difference with the goal and, of course, with his defensive contribution.
‘Toni has developed really well since he arrived. He has had a very big impact. Now he’s even a big threat on set-plays, which is amazing.
‘The aggression that he has, the way he plays with the ball, it’s a pleasure to have him in our team.’
