Thiago Silva has no plans to disclose his feelings over his Chelsea future

Silva’s last contract was penned in February and we don’t think Chelsea will extend his contract.

Thiago Silva’s Chelsea future is uncertain after looking at his age. The Chelsea man has suggested that he has no plans to disclose his feelings over his future at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues defender arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2020. The Brazil international made 125 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions.

He won the Champions League trophy in his first season. He saw his side struggling in the Premier League since the new ownership. Silva has played every minute of Chelsea’s Premier League matches during 2023-24 under Mauricio Pochettino.

Silva’s last contract was penned in February and we don’t think Chelsea will extend his contract. While talking to Esporte Espetacular, the 39-year-old expects to be offered a new contract.

He said: “This is a long-standing relationship, right? But I’d rather keep quiet at the moment, because it’s been controversial in the recent past.

“I have a family now, I have children. So we have to think about that too. But it’s about seeing where things can bring us happiness, to finish off this beautiful and victorious career that I believe I’ve had.”
