Bayern Munich’s latest acquisition Leroy Sane has all but confirmed that Kai Havertz is on his way to Chelsea.Â
The Germany winger who used to play for Manchester City was talking about the young prospects of Germany and the names of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz came up.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Sane told reporters: “It’s good for Chelsea, that they signed two German top talents with Timo Werner and Kai Havertz this summer.”
“A lot of young players get the chance to play and to develop well in the Bundesliga,” said Sane.
“Timo Werner and Kai Havertz are two Germans in one year now to transfer to the Premier League – I think Chelsea made good deals.
“Germany has very good talent development in general. The whole football world knows that. So I think it’s understandable that foreign clubs are interested in as well.”
Chelsea has been linked with Havertz for quite some time now and it seems that the Blues are ready to splash the cash this summer by strengthening their attacking prowess.Â
All they need now is the idea to get some solid players in the backline and Frank Lampard’s Chelsea will be ready to deliver targets and titles on a regular basis.Â
