Top 5 Players Chelsea Could Sign In Summer

Chelsea have pretty much dominated Premier League transfer window with two blockbuster signings in Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech. Both players have joined up with the Blues squad to give their fans a flush excitement for the coming season. Not just that, several other names are being lined up by the Stamford Bridge team following a season of transfer bans.

Chelsea will be looking to close the gap to the elites in English football, Manchester City and Liverpool this summer. That means adding more quality and enforcing each of their starting XI positions. Maybe addressing all of their issues in one window will be difficult but they can surely make a strong dent.

Lampard did his job in claiming Champions League qualification and came very close to winning his first trophy as a manager. No matter what their Champions League outcome might be, fans can be optimistic about the new regime. If things did go well; let us think of 5 players who we believe could be ideal to make Chelsea a threat in Europe again.

5. Players Chelsea Could Sign This Summer Is Declan Rice

Declan Rice is a former Chelsea player. Plus he is still really good friends with Mason Mount. West Ham are reportedly open to the fact that he might eventually leave the Hammers but they are determined to hold on to a world-record fee for the club.

Chelsea will want him as he is young, has PL experience and can play in multiple positions. This is one of those transfers that might just come through on deadline day!

Is Declan Rice Good?

Yes, he is definitely one of the best young talents in the Premier League and only going to get better – Chelsea should wrap up his deal before his price increases even more.

4. Sergio Reguilon Is One Of The Players Chelsea Could Sign

Chelsea are in advanced talks with Real Madrid over Sergio Reguilon. The 23-year-old was voted La Liga’s best left-back last season during his loan stint with Sevilla. He would cost around £25m as Real have no space to accommodate him into their current lineup. Reguilon would be a more cost-effective option to Chilwell with a similar level of promise.

3. Jose Gimenez

According to reports, Chelsea have made Jose Gimenez their top defensive target and within reason. This season that Blues backline has crumbled under the slightest pressure. Adding a player of Gimenez’s pedigree will be a definite upgrade and possibly even get the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma back to their best.

The Uruguay international has been a constant in that Atletico Madrid defence for some time now. He is one of La Liga’s best defenders – commanding in the box, quick to mark his players and not afraid to put his body on the line. Whether Atletico can be prized out of letting their best centre-back leave remains to be seen.

2. Alex Telles

Obrigado Lenda! @ikercasillas 💙🙌🏽

Chelsea’s need for a left-back has already been emphasized on countless times. Fans are almost fed up now, watching Alonso and Emerson mess up defensively in every game. There needs to be an immediate answer and Telles could be that person. The Blues will find it hard to pay up for Chilwell and this is where the FC Porto man comes in.

He is almost £40m cheaper than Chilwell and has a contract until June 2021. At 27, he will bring experience even though he has not predominantly played in Europe’s top five leagues throughout his career.

1. Kai Havertz Is One Of The Top Players Chelsea Could Sign

A post shared by Kai Havertz 💥⚽️✌🏼 (@kaihavertz29) on

Chelsea have great base of creative talent in Billy Gilmour, Mason Mount, Matteo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Now, it is time to take it to the next level with this German wonderkid. Havertz has showcased outstanding abilities in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen and has put in a transfer request.

At 20, he feels he is ready to take his game to the next level. Chelsea definitely poses an attractive picture with the project they are currently undertaking with Frank Lampard. Havertz could be their attacking talisman for years to come, filling in at the number ten position. He has like-minded players in Werner and Pulisic, all of whom are willing to play with pace and run down opposition defences.

Reports claim that a move to Chelsea is close as personal terms have already been improved. Now, we are only awaiting official news as a transfer fee gets finalized soon enough.

    • Kouli is too expensive for my liking and considering his age, not good move for the club at the moment, but Jose Gimenez of Atletic Madrid & Sergio Reguilon would be perfect buys.

  1. Chelsea should focus on buying a new center back after they finish signing havertz I recommend koulibaly
Chelsea should sign koulibaly or any strong defender

  2. Chelsea have to sign koulibaly and goalkeeper jan oblack after finish signing harvertz. Chelsea need to bring telex to stamford bridge

  3. Note my comment if u like sign all the big players in the world for Frank lampard he will not perform u know why he is not technically sound, he is not technically aggressive while at the side line when football is on I mean Chelsea is too big for lampard to handle as a coach. See the likes of klopp, guadiola etc watch those two coaches when football is on u see how passionate and aggressive they on the sideline but Frank Lampard looses before a match even commences he will just fine a place and sit and crosses his legs a good coach should always stand to read a game and knows a department in a field he should work on immediately but Frank Lampard does not have such attribute rather he will pack all English players that suppose to be on loan or to be sold out to come and for Chelsea forgetting that, that is someone business!

  4. Chelsea we most speed up to sign kai Havertz before he is hijack from us and besides he is also a very good/brilliant player who can bring a big boost on the team and his team mate
