Journalist Dean Jones suggests Noni Madueke needs to show more consistency at Chelsea

Madueke has only played 182 minutes of Premier League action under Graham Potter.

Journalist Dean Jones has suggested that Noni Madueke needs to be more consistent if he wants to play more often at Chelsea.

The 21-year-old made move from PSV Eindhoven in the January transfer window. The Blues invested £30 million to purchase Madueke. He had great numbers at PSV where he scored 20 goals and provided 14 assists in 80 appearances.

Madueke has only played 182 minutes of Premier League action under Graham Potter, which suggests he hasn’t yet impressed Potter.

Journalist Dean Jones spoke to GIVEMESPORT that Madueke will have to compete for a spot and maintain his consistency for increased playing time.

“He has to make sure there’s some consistency about that and he doesn’t drop off again before the end of the season. I know that Potter does like Madueke, but it’s all about getting the most out of him in the moments rather than having him manage entire games at this stage. So I think we’ll continue to only see him in short stints.”

Madueke is still young, therefore, it doesn’t matter if he isn’t consistent; as soon as he hits his mark, Graham Potter will consider him to be a key player.
