Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Neymar this summer.

The Brazilian superstar is expected to leave PSG at the end of this campaign thus ending his six-year spell with the French club.

He joined the French capital in a record-breaking €222 million deal from Barcelona in 2017.

Neymar has been out with an ankle injury and has missed the last 10 fixtures across all competitions.

His team in Paris looks set to expire after supporters gathered outside his house chanting for him to leave.

Chelsea owners Tod Boehly has helding meetings with PSG over a possible move for Neymar last year and has been linked once again this summer.

Pundit Gary Neville’s comments are regarding Newcastle’s potential pursuit but it rings true for Chelsea too.

Neville said: “That would scare me to death, that sort of signing.

“Neymar is a sensational player but I think Eddie Howe all of a sudden would sort of have a circus – Eddie Howe doesn’t need a circus up here. You think about what Newcastle are at this moment in time, they’re building, they’ve got foundations.

“What you don’t want to do is basically go and disrupt that. Fans are really behind the team they’re behind the manager, there’s a sort of a spirit building.”
