Antonio Conte has said he has no plans to return to management any time this season and will wait for the new season to decide on things.
“I surely miss being in the dugout, but I had decided to have a year of rest and I’m very calm while I wait to know my new destination. I don’t know what it will be. I’m in Milan because I went to see the Atalanta-Juventus game, I came here from London and I’ll be in Turin tomorrow. I did not receive any offer from Italy.”
After Chelsea’s drubbing at the hands of Bournemouth, he was asked if he saw the result, and he added: “Did they? I didn’t know about it. I was watching the Atalanta game. Anyway, Chelsea is a matter of the past for me.”
“You will not see me anywhere this season. For everything else, we’ll see later. “He was also pushed on reports he could become Inter’s new manager. “People have been talking about it for some time, but they are only rumours,” Antonio Conte said. “Indeed, talk. There has been no contact with society and with (director) Giuseppe Marotta himself, believe me.”
“I will evaluate calmly, without haste. Now it’s early, I want to wait for the right opportunity. The decisive factors in my choice will be two: the importance of the project and, above all, the enthusiasm. I will accept the proposal that will give me more joy.”
