Chelsea have reportedly set the asking price for Marcos Alonso at €30m.

The Blues defender has been at the club for four seasons now and has been a part of the first team for the majority of that duration.

However, there have always been questions over his quality as a defender and his pace to cope with the Premier League.

With Chelsea’s transfer ban now overturned, the Blues are actively looking to sign players in the market with a left back a priority.

This has more or less alerted Alonso of his situation at the club with Chelsea setting the asking price for any suitor at €30m.

Alonso is reportedly on the scouting books of his former boos Antonio Conte’s current team Inter Milan.

Conte was the first manager to be able to use Alonso effectively in a 5 man back system and Conte now wants him at Italy.

The Italian boss signed Victor Moses and Ashley Young from England earlier in January this year and will look to land Alonso as well come summer to give himself a plethora of options at the back.

Alonso has played 139 matches for Chelsea scoring 22 goals and creating 17 more but has been a constant defensive headache throughout his Chelsea career.
