Aston Villa targets Armando Broja from Chelsea in January transfer window

Aston Villa’s search to improve their attacking options has intensified as they set their sights on Chelsea’s Armando Broja.

According to known journalist Ben Jacobs, the Midlands club, led by Unai Emery, is keen on signing the promising young striker.

Broja, a prodigy known for his explode pace and goal-scoring abilities, has caught the interest of numerous Premier League clubs. However, Villa have emerged as the frontrunners in the race for his signature.

With Chelsea believed willing to part ways with the Albanian international for a cost of around £35 million, Villa find themselves at a crossroads in their chase.

While Jacobs confirms Villa’s admiration for Broja, the club is yet to formalize an official bid for the 22-year-old. Despite the interest from other clubs such as West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, Villa remains undeterred in their pursuit of bolstering their attacking options.

For Villa, the urgency to secure a striker capable of making an immediate impact stems from their aspirations of securing a coveted spot in the Premier League’s top four this season.

Broja’s proven track record in the English top-flight, with 58 appearances and eight goals to his name, presents a tantalizing prospect for Emery’s side.

The potential acquisition of Broja would not only inject additional firepower into Villa’s attacking contingent but also signal their ambition to compete at the highest level.
