Wolves halt move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja

Armando Broja is currently out-of-favour at Chelsea.

The Albanian forward is one of the best players to come out of the academy but has struggled to get minutes since the arrival of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in the summer.

He has struggled for minutes under Mauricio Pochettino this season making only 13 Premier League appearances.

Broja has scored two goals in 18 appearances this season and most of those came from the bench, with the Albanian managing just six starts.

There is plenty of interest for the Albanian international, with the likes of West Ham, Fulham and Wolves all keen to acquire his services.

Wolves have been credited with an interest in the out-of-favour striker with just a few days left in the winter transfer window.

Chelsea wants to balance their books and perhaps reinvest in a new forward this month.

Wolves have reportedly lined up a loan move for Broja which included a permanent buy clause in the deal.

But manager Gary O’Neill has reconsidered his plans due to financial constraints and has refused to make a move for the Chelsea graduate this January.

Transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano has reiterated that there’s still a chance of Broja leaving Chelsea in the winter window.
