Chelsea are closely monitoring on LOSC Lille striker Jonathan David.

The 24-year-old has been doing wonders in the French League and has gone from strength to strength since his arrival at Lille in 2020.

The Canadian international has featured in a total of 162 matches for the French club and has contributed towards 84 goals.

Chelsea are plotting to sign a world-class striker as they are on the lookout for an upgrade over misfiring forwards Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja.

The striker market is expected to evolve in the summer window as a host of Premier League clubs are interested in that position.

Summer signing Nicolas Jackson has struggled to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge whereas Christopher Nkunku has been out with a knee injury for the first half of the season.

Chelsa hasn’t been efficient in front of goal, so they plan on landing a new number nine in the summer.

Football expert Jonathan Johnson recently spoke about Jonathan David’s possible move to England.

“Jonathan David’s form has picked up again after a bit of a dip, and my understanding is he’s still someone who’s very much on the radar of a number of top clubs across Europe, Premier League clubs included,” Johnson said.
