Pedro reveals why Eden Hazard is in the same bracket of Lionel Messi

The Belgian has started the new campaign very strongly

Eden Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in the summer of 2012 and is one of the club’s undisputed stars. He is considered as one of the best players in the world after performing at the highest level over the past few seasons.

The Belgium International has scored 103 goals for the English side in 305 appearances. He has claimed two Premier League titles during his time in west London, along with FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League triumphs.

He had an impressive World Cup this campaign as he helped Belgium to reach the semi-finals and has continued his form to the new campaign.

The 27 year old has featured in all the Premier League fixtures so far this season, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists. He scored an impressive hat-trick against Cardiff City last weekend , maintaining the club’s 100 percent record and are on top of the table.

However, the Belgian remained in England after asking Maurizio Sarri to be rested for Europa League game against PAOK in Greece on Thursday. The Blues won the game 1-0 after Willian scored inside the first 7 minutes, keeping their 100 percent start intact.

Pedro believes Hazard is in the same bracket as La Liga star Lionel Messi. The Spaniard used to play with the Argentine together when he was at Barcelona.

He said as quoted by Mirror: “It is obvious that Eden Hazard is in the three, four players that are the best in the world like Leo, Cristiano Ronaldo , Neymar, Eden.

“Because Eden every year, you show your football and your numbers – score goals, assists, play a lot of minutes, play very good.

“I don’t know, maybe in a few years Eden can win the golden ball or another thing because he is a very good player.

“He is a big star. It is very good for the us that Eden is in good form with good confidence, doesn’t lose ball, is dribbling very good, score goals.

“It is a very good help for the team and when this guy plays like this he is very difficult to stop.”
