Thomas Tuchel Aiming For Top Four Finish

Chelsea have not given up on a top-four finish this season.

Thomas Tuchel collected his third win in four games after beating Sheffield United 2-1 on Sunday.

Chelsea climbed up to fifth in the table with fourth-placed Liverpool only a point ahead. Chelsea’s assistant coach Zsolt Low revealed how Tuchel and the rest of the backroom staff are aiming to get European qualification this season.

Speaking to M1, Low said, “We didn’t arrive with the goal of winning the title in these few months. It would be a brilliant performance to be able to finish in the top four, which the club would be happy with.

“It’s amazingly difficult to win against any team, not only to be prepared against sensational players, but the very best coaches are also working in the Premier League.”

Fans expected a new manager bounce after a pretty poor showing in the past few months. A new regime has begun and Tuchel has brought on plenty of changes. Some players look more inventive and efficient on the pitch as opposed to under Lampard.

With how the season has progressed so far, it is completely possible for Chelsea to grasp a Champions League spot. But they will have to get a consistent run of performances going if they want to get to their seasonal targets.
