Loftus-Cheek has decided he must leave Chelsea if he is to further his career, reports the Daily Star .
He has previously claimed he needs to play to grow, and is frustrated by his lack of playing time under Antonio Conte. He has decided to depart even if the Italian is fired, and hopes the opportunity provided by his showings for England at the World Cup increase his market.
The player admitted playing every week when on loan at Palace last season made him realise he cannot stagnate by not playing regularly.
He said: “I want to play. I want to play as much as I can.
“And even this past season just gone I didn’t play as much as I would have liked to because of the injuries and stuff.
“So I still feel I need a proper season of playing – wherever it is”.
