According to L’Equipe, Real Madrid will officially announce the signing of Eden Hazard following the Europa League final at Baku on the 29th.
After Chelsea’s final Premier League game against Leicester City, Hazard said that he has already made a decision and has informed the club about it. The Belgium international said,
“Yes I have made my decision but it is not just about me. “Would I have liked it to be cleared up earlier in the season? Yes, I wanted that but that’s not happened. I’m still waiting like you are waiting and the fans are waiting. I’ve told the club a couple of weeks ago. I have made my decision, that’s it I’m still waiting.”
Hazard has had a really good 18/19 season following an impressive World Cup in Russia where he led Belgium to their best ever World Cup finish.
The 28-year old has amassed 19 goals and 16 assists this season and will hope to end it well by helping Chelsea to the Europa League.
Chelsea will certainly face a big blow provided Hazard moves to Real. Real on the other hand shall have landed a very big fish.
