There was never any doubt in the fact that Zinedine Zidane favors French players.
It started with the keeping and trusting of Karim Benzema. He is surely firing now but Zidane did have a huge role in it by the playing the out of form player day in day out to get his form back at a club like Real Madrid.
There was also evidence in the fact that Zidane has been chasing Paul Pogba so keenly that he let go of the option to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur at a cut-price deal.
Now he has turned his attention to yet another 2018 World Cup winner – N’Golo Kante. This might just be the most difficult coup for Zidane since unlike his chase for Hazard, Kante is more than committed to Chelsea.
The central defensive midfielder is best in the business and Kante is loyal to the Blues. However, Real Madrid are reportedly desperate to get him and realizing that no money would sway Chelsea, they are set to offer their star players.Â
One report in the European media houses which is doing the rounds has claimed that Zidane is ready to part ways with Spanish playmaker Isco in order to get Kante.
