Youngster Ethan Ampadu has left Chelsea.

The Chelsea defender has left on loan to Sheffield United for a whole season. This way the Blues starlet shall get more game time – something which he has to get more of. Wales National Team manager Ryan Giggs warned Ampadu of not staying in the national team unless he got more minutes – something which he won’t be getting at Chelsea.

Previously, Ampadu was at RB Leipzig for 6 months before coming back to Stamford Bridge.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is delighted to have the 19 year old right back on his squad. Ampadu has impressed immensely, especially recently in the England vs Iceland match – where Ryan Giggs praised him.

“Ethan is an outstanding young player for Chelsea, and we’ve worked really hard to get his signature for the season,” said Chris Wilder.

“We need to thank Frank Lampard and the people at Chelsea for helping making this happen. We’ve got a good relationship with them and they know we’re going to take good care of him.

“It’s an important season for Ethan and playing in the Premier League for us is a good move for everyone. He brings a lot of qualities to the group and he’s someone we’ve tracked for two or three seasons.”
