Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has dropped a hint over a potential transfer to Chelsea. He has been heavily linked with the Blues. They are supposed to make a big money move to get the Serie A striker at Stamford Bridge.
The 25-year-old is already on the wishlist of Mauricio Pochettino who is looking to find a new centre-forward. His future is pretty uncertain. However, he signed a new contract with Napoli last week. This new contract will keep him at the Serie A club until June 2026.
Osimhen’s new deal is understood to include a release clause worth in the region of £112m. The Nigeria international has scored 67 goals in 119 appearances for the Serie A club across all competitions.
Osimhen netted 26 goals in 32 Serie A matches last season to win the Golden Boot and help his club clinch their first Serie A title in 33 years.
A Nigerian fan posted a celebratory message to mark Osimhen’s 25th birthday on Friday, which read: “Happy Birthday Victor Osimhen, pls come and rescue Chelsea soon.” Osimhen replied to the fan with two heart emojis and a praying emoji.
