Chelsea willing to sell Conor Gallagher for the right price.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly could be tempted to sell the 23-year-old midfielder even if the player wants to stay at Stamford Bridge.

The academy graduate has been a mainstay at Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino and his form has been one of the biggest positives in the team.

With Reece James out injured, Gallagher was given the chance to wear the armband several times in this campaign.

The English midfielder is preferred in the lineup alongside two expensive midfield acquisitions, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

There has been recent speculation over the player’s future at Chelsea even though Pochettino wants to keep him for the foreseeable future.

He has made 22 appearances across all competitions bagging four assists for the Blues and just has over a year left on his contract.

Tottenham are keen on signing the midfielder and Chelsea has set an asking price of  £45-50 million for the 23-year-old.

Pochettino wants the versatile midfielder to continue at Stamford Bridge beyond this campaign.

He said: “It’s difficult for the coach to talk… it’s up to club and player. It’s going to be a decision of the club and Gallagher. I can give my advice. So far, Conor is doing fantastic for the team.”
