Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea need a “miracle” to save their season now

“Chelsea’s recruitment staff have got this wrong,” Steve Nicol said.

Former Liverpool player Steve Nicol talked about Chelsea’s poor start to the Premier League. He doesn’t hold back when it comes to laying into Blues.

Nicol claimed the team needed a “miracle” to save their season now. He pointed out finger at the recruitment team who had put this group together.

Chelsea had a poor season last term as well when they missed out on qualification from UEFA competitions. They sacked two managers in the same season.

“Chelsea’s recruitment staff have got this wrong. The coach, regardless of who it is, is finding it hard to put the pieces of this puzzle together. If he’s given pieces of the puzzle that don’t fit, you’re looking for a miracle. They need a miracle,” Nicol admitted.

Chelsea’s season has been tough so far with just one win in Premier League. They lost to Aston Villa 1-0 recently and it was their 3rd loss in the top-flight. They now moved to 14th in the table.
