Chelsea are on the lookout for a new striker before the summer deadline day.

The Blues signed Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig and Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal this summer.

But Nkunku is currently out with injury and Jackson has been given the responsibility to lead the line in the last two games.

Chelsea were the fifth-lowest scorer in the Premier League last season and has addressed the issue in this summer window.

But with Armando Broja and Christopher Nkunku injured, manager Mauricio Pochettino claims they will sign a forward before the transfer window shuts on September 1.

“It is a difficult situation because we had two strikers in Nkunku and Broja but they are injured,” Pochettino told talkSPORT.

“It is not easy in this moment to find the right profile. We are in the process, working to see if we can add some players in this area.

“I don’t think the problem is that we need another striker. The chances that we created, we need to be more clinical. It is not only the strikers that need to be clinical in front of goal.”
