Man United are exploring a move for Marc Cucurella in the final days of the summer window.

The Red Devils are interested in a loan deal for Chelsea outcast Marc Cucurella after Luke Shaw sustained a muscle injury.

The England international is expected to be out for several weeks and could be facing up to two months in the treatment room.

Man United are now keen on adding a left-back before the deadline day and Ten Hag has his eye on Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella.

Cucurella is yet to feature for the Blues this season and is considered surplus to Mauricio Pochettino’s requirements.

He arrived last summer at Stamford Bridge in a deal worth £62 million and his contract runs out in the summer of 2028.

The Spaniard has often been criticised for his below-par defensive displays last season and Chelsea might allow the full-back to leave the club.

Transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano said: “Manchester United and Chelsea spoke on Saturday about Marc Cucurella loan deal, as revealed yesterday.”

“Understand Chelsea are open to letting Cucurella leave on loan but only at their conditions (loan fee/salary coverage).”

“Up to United, as they’ve 3 options for new LB.”
