The Belgian has been impressive so far this season
Eden Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in the summer of 2012 and is one of the club’s undisputed stars. He is considered as one of the best players in the world after performing at the highest level over the past few seasons.
The Belgium International has scored 100 goals for the English side in 304 appearances. He has claimed two Premier League titles during his time in west London, along with FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League triumphs.
Despite Blue’s struggle last season, the winger featured regularly for them and managed to score 17 goals in all competitions. He was very influential against Manchester United in the final of the FA Cup as he scored the winner in the 1-0 win, helping the team to grab their 8th FA Cup title.
The 27 year old has featured in all the Premier League fixtures so far this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists. The London Outfit have won all the 4 matches and are second on the table behind Liverpool.
Liverpool’s left-back Andy Robertson believes Hazard is one of the best 5 players in the world.
He said as quoted by Talksport: “He is probably in the top five [players in the world] at the minute. I have come up against him many times so I know what threat he can have.
“Even if he is having a quiet game, he can pop up at any point and turn a game. That is what we are up against.
“He is special. The way he turns and gets at players and commits two or three defenders, there’s not many that have that.
“He has been unbelievable for Chelsea and Belgium and it is somebody that we need to watch.
“The problem with Belgium is, you can’t focus on just Hazard because somebody else pops up. We have to be aware of all of their threats.
“We will be ready for them and do our best to stop them but we must cause them problems going the other way as well.”
The two will go head-to-head at Hampden Park on Friday night in the UEFA Nations League.
