Chelsea ran out 4-2 winners last night at Turf Moor against Burnley.

The Blues where impressive overall with Christian Pulisic delivering a hattrick for the Stamford Bridge club. However, besides praising the young American, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has drawn out two other names as well.

Those are Chelsea’s deep lying midfielders and playmakers from the back Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.

Lampard said, “Absolutely delighted [with the performance] I’d be the first to criticise sloppy endings and sloppy goals but I can’t today because I don’t want to take away from what the performance was, which was fantastic. It’s a really tough place to come, we knew all the threats, how difficult they make it for you.”

‘Some of the play, some of the football, I’m sure we’ll talk about Christian [Pulisic], but [Mateo] Kovacic and Jorginho in midfield, their confidence on the ball, receiving the ball with pressure coming, the way they played. ‘I’m delighted with 95% and that’s enough for me, I’m really pleased.’

Kovacic and Jorginho moved around throughout the match making it difficult for Burnley to close down Chelsea or even break them open on the counter attacks.
