Manchester United and Chelsea were set to fight our for strikers in the January transfer market.

The Red Devils and the Blues both needed to add firepower to their teams. However, it turned out to be a rather lame race as Chelsea did not sign a single player and Manchester United ended up with Odion Ighalo.

Most fans and pundits have written off the player as he has been brought in from the Chinese Super League. However, Ole sounded optimistic about the player.

“Yeah, he is going to travel with us,” he told club media.

“We will just see his fitness work this week and I think we will get him sharp.

“We want to integrate him as quickly as we can because, of course, he is desperate to play for us.”

Ighalo has formerly played in the PL with Watford and was a great reason for worry for the Blues when they last played.

Chelsea will want to be sure they do not take Manchester United for granted this time. The two sides have met twice this season with Ole”s man hammering the Blues 4-0 on opening day and inflicting yet another 1-0 win at the Bridge in the Carabao Cup.
