Hakim Ziyech tipped to make a return to Ajax

Hakim Ziyech is poised to make a return to his former club Ajax.

The Moroccan international is considered as surplus to Pochettino’s requirements and would be the latest player to be sold this summer.

The 30-year-old has contributed to only 25 goals across three seasons and was close to leaving in January.

It was PSG who won the race for the former Ajax winger but a deal failed to materialise in the final minutes.

Ziyech has been often cut a frustrated figure at the West London club and Chelsea are looking to trim their squad before the summer window concludes.

There is a clear sign that the player is not wanted as Ziyech was not included for the upcoming game this week.

Pundit Kraay jr believes Ziyech could make a return to Ajax in this transfer window.

“Hakim Ziyech has not received a number at Chelsea and his transfer has been rejected a few times,” Kraay told ESPN, relayed by Ajax Fanatics.

“I can imagine that Ajax, if Mohammed Kudus leaves, will report to Ziyech. He can hang on the right wing and play on ten.”
