FA clears Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson amid controversial post-match clash
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has nearly avoided retrospective punishment from the Football Association following a heated incident during his team’s recent 2-0 defeat against Everton.
According to reports, after seeming to be holding the throat of Everton’s Nathan Patterson in a heated confrontation after the final whistle, Jackson will face no further disciplinary action.

The incident occurred during a match in which Chelsea suffered their sixth league defeat of the season, with Everton claiming win with goals from Abdoulaye Doucoure and Lewis Dobbin in the second half.
Jackson, who came on as a substitute for the final 23 minutes, was involved in a post-match brawl with numerous Everton players.
In contrast to recent precedents with Casemiro and Rodri, who both earned three-match bans for similar acts earlier in the season, the FA has decided not to take any further action against Jackson.
The decision has raised eyebrows, especially given Chelsea’s continuous disciplinary difficulties, having received a league-high seven yellow cards.
Pochettino, who earlier warned Jackson to avoid “cheap yellow cards,” now faces a struggle in keeping discipline inside the Chelsea group.
The team’s disciplinary issues continue to be a source of concern as they prepare to face Sheffield United in their next Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.
