Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has said that their primary striker and Chelsea target Callum Wilson is not for sale this January.

The English striker is in tremendous form this season having scored just under 10 goals besides 6 assists for the Cherries this season and Howe believes the player is not going to leave this winter market.

Chelsea have made their interest in Wilson clear when Zola heaped praise on Wilson by saying the Blues are interested in the player.

“He’s strong, fast, and he sees the goal,” added Zola. “I like him because he’s also strong in the air, which is a very important quality, but I don’t want to go into it too much. He’s doing very well and I’m pleased for him.”

Howe has however, made his stance clear on selling the striker. He said, “not from my perspective, no. Callum is our player, he is very focused on us and you could see that from his performance. He gave everything for the team.”

It now remains to be seen whether Howe’s stance is backed by the board when Chelsea approach Bournemouth with a rather hefty sum in exchange for Wilson.
