Chelsea swapping Christian Pulisic for Kingsley Coman won't happen

Coman failed to make much of an impact during France’s journey to the World Cup final in Qatar.

Journalist Simon Phillips has told GIVEMESPORT that there is nothing in the rumours about Chelsea swapping Christian Pulisic for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.

Talk has emerged about the West London club being interested in a deal that would see the former head to the Allianz Arena and the latter move to Stamford Bridge, but Phillips has ruled it out.

Earlier this month, one report added that the Blues had contacted the Bundesliga giants about a potential swap deal involving Pulisic and Coman.

Pulisic has barely played for Chelsea this season, so they could be open to letting him go in the upcoming transfer window.

Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: “I asked sources about that at the time because I thought it was a bit of a wild claim, and there’s nothing in it at all. Chelsea have had an interest in Coman in the past, but there’s nothing in that recently.”

Coman failed to make much of an impact during France’s journey to the World Cup final in Qatar.

Competing against PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele for a spot, Coman was mostly used off the bench, as shown on Transfermarkt.
