Chelsea plans to make a move for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele in the forthcoming transfer windows

The extremely skilled winger has a €50 million release clause in his contract, and the Blues are eager to sign him. The newly appointed Chelsea manager has asked for the signing of the Frenchman in order to give Graham Potter more options in the attacking department.

It will be interesting to see if Dembélé is ready to move to the Premier League in the coming months after signing a contract extension with Barcelona that runs until the summer of 2024.

The Frenchman has excelled for the Spanish club this season and appears to have moved past his ongoing injury issues. In all competitions for club and country this season, the player has five goals and nine assists. The 25-year-old has so far contributed two assists for his nation in the World Cup, assisting France to the quarterfinals.

It will be intriguing to watch if he can assist this nation in winning the prized trophy this year once more. Dembele would undoubtedly improve on Chelsea’s current offensive options. At Stamford Bridge, players like Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic have had trouble getting going, so Potter has to replace them.

In principle, the Frenchman seems like a good addition, so it will be intriguing to see whether the Blues are willing to spend a fortune on him.
