Moukoko’s agent Patrick Williams has also issued an update on the striker’s contract situation.

Chelsea have been pushing to sign Borussia Dortmund star Youssoufa Moukoko ahead of the January transfer window. Graham Potter looks for an Armando Broja replacement, journalist Simon Phillips has told GiveMeSport.

The starlet will enter the final six months of his £4k-per-week deal at the Bundesliga giants in the new year.

Moukoko’s agent Patrick Williams has issued an update on the striker’s contract situation amid Premier League interest, having told Sky Germany: “I can confirm that we are not yet about to sign a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund. I can also assure you that the numbers that are circulating are simply not correct and Youssoufa was never offered that way. But we are still in contact with Borussia Dortmund and will see what the next few days bring.”

As per the reports of The Times, the Blues are facing task with Liverpool and Manchester United for the 18-year-old’s signature.

CBS journalist says that Potter’s side are the current frontrunner for the striker in the winter transfer window, with the starlet wanting guarantees of regular playing time should he move away from Signal Iduna Park.

The West London club are in need of another center-forward option after the club confirmed Broja has suffered a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament rupture in a friendly with Aston Villa last weekend, with The Mirror suggesting it could take £26m to sign the Dortmund man in January.

Phillips told GiveMeSport: “On the list, you’ve got Moukoko from Dortmund. He’s another young player but he would come in and be a replacement for Broja, even though he’s only 18. Chelsea have been trying to get him in January as well.”

The 18-year-old has scored six goals and registered six assists in 22 appearances for Dortmund this season. A move to Stamford Bridge could make sense for the Germany international, with the youngster only having to compete with Aubameyang for the role of first-choice center-forward at Stamford Bridge this campaign.
