Chelsea is closing in on a new long-term deal with academy starlet Tino Anjorin.
Anjorin still has a year to go until his current contract with Chelsea gets over. However, it is reported that he shall be making the deal final to stay on at Stamford Bridge. Anjorin is simply one of the latest additions to the Chelsea squad from the list of academy stars who have made it to the first team this year, thanks to Frank Lampard’s decisions.
The reason Lampard has been taking in academy players is that in the past, the Blues have lost out on many fine players – all homegrown stars. The likes of Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelo Lukaku – all left Chelsea because they were given many chances to play. And looking at where these three are now, it’s unimaginable to believe their positions. One of them has become the world’s greatest strikers and Chelsea has been regretting it ever since.
The moment Frank Lampard took over, he brought in the likes of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount on the first team. And he’s not stopping now, not with star kid Anjorin joining the force.Â
