Chelsea players agree on wage cuts

The stars and the management of Chelsea have agreed to reduce the salaries in the team.

About 10 million will be saved after players accept a proposal to reduce their salaries by 10% over the next four months.

The deal is expected to take effect next month and will run until September, when the new Premier League season is expected to begin. The agreement was reached in a conversation with the team’s players, in which captain Cesar Azpilicueta made his proposal and the others accepted it.

The team’s manager, Frank Lampard, has already reduced his salary by 25%. A similar agreement was reached a few days ago at Arsenal, while Tottenham are still negotiating with their players. Manchester United have announced that they will not reduce their salaries, but an agreement has been reached for 30% of them to be donated to the National Health Organization.
