Enzo Fernandez speaks out on Chelsea exit talks.

The Argentine midfielder became the Premier League’s most expensive player before the arrival of Moises Caicedo last summer.

Chelsea paid an eye-watering £100 million for the World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez in January 2023.

He has featured 28 times in all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season, netting five goals in the process.

There were reports that the midfielder was frustrated with Chelsea’s struggles and was working out ways to push for a possible exit in the summer.

Chelsea has been underperforming this season and Enzo has become one of the side’s scapegoats.

The Blues are currently languishing 10th in the Premier League table and are likely to miss out on Champions League football next season.

The 23-year-old has found a new life under Pochettino and has become one of the team’s leaders in the current season with his holding midfield role.

Fernandez insisted there was no truth regarding the speculations and he is fully committed to Chelsea for the foreseeable future.

“I don’t know where those rumours came from. Social networks I think. I totally deny it. I don’t want to leave Chelsea, I’m very happy here,” Fernández told ESPN.

“Since the first day they [Chelsea] have treated me wonderfully, I am very grateful.

“Regardless of what happens in football, I am grateful and I am happy at Chelsea. I will continue [here] as long as they want.”
