Chelsea and Barcelona are drafting player-plus-cash offers to capture free agent Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe

The France captain has informed PSG that he has no plans to extend his current contract, which expires next summer. PSG is eager to make a profit on Mbappe during the current transfer window.

PSG is actively attempting to sell Mbappe, 24, this summer in order to prevent losing the club’s all-time leading scorer on a free transfer in 2024. PSG believes that Mbappe has reached an agreement to join longtime admirers Real Madrid next summer. Chelsea and Barcelona are reportedly trying to put together packages to capture Mbappe, according to Sky Sports.

In an effort to recruit Mbappe, who declined to meet with Al-Hilal representatives last week to negotiate a potential world-record transfer to Saudi Arabia, the two clubs are apparently working on player-plus-cash packages.

Mbappe and Mauricio Pochettino previously collaborated at Paris Saint-Germain, and a move to west London would bring the forward and his international teammate Christopher Nkunku together in a fresh frontline.

After a January loan to PSG fell through, Hakim Ziyech has been mentioned as a potential makeweight. Romelu Lukaku, who recently returned to Chelsea from a loan to Inter Milan, has also been mentioned as a potential makeweight.
