Despite already having a massive clear-out, Chelsea is still hoping to offload a few more players during this summer’s transfer window
There are still a few lingering stragglers at the club who wish to leave and whom the management wishes to sell, one or two problematic players earning costly salaries who have no interested parties.
Romelu Lukaku is the most problematic player by a long shot. Since they were duped into signing him from Inter Milan and paying him absurdly huge wages, he has only caused issues for them.
They are stuck with him for now, and he still doesn’t seem to be any closer to joining a club. He is also in a dilemma as to which club to join to pursue his career further.
Saudi Arabia, one of the few probable destinations that can afford to sign Lukaku and still want to, may provide Chelsea with some hope at the end of the tunnel.
They assert that Romelu Lukaku has received a new proposal from Al Hilal that includes an offer of €50 million each season. Additionally, they are ready to pay Chelsea a €50 million transfer fee.
