Chelsea could let two young midfielders leave the club

It won’t be shocking to see Chelsea offload a number of players in the summer given their massive expenditure

When it comes to the two most recent transfer windows, Todd Boehly, an American millionaire, owns the Blues, who have essentially destroyed every other team.

In addition to breaking the British transfer record last month by acquiring midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a staggering £106 million, the Londoners’ total winter spending increased to well over £300 million after adding eight more players, including Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk for £88.5 million.

Chelsea are anticipated to offload a few first-team players before the end of the year due to their overcrowded squad and the obvious need to adhere to Financial Fair Play regulations. However, according to British agent Haydn Dodge, there are at least two midfielders who are not thought to be good enough players.

While Gallagher has performed admirably since being given a chance in the first squad following a good loan spell with Crystal Palace, Loftus-Cheek has remained an underutilised player for the bulk of his Chelsea tenure.

Fans should anticipate a flurry of interest in Gallagher when the summer transfer window opens later this year, despite the fact that he may not be as highly regarded as players like Fernandez. Gallagher is still largely considered as one of England’s most capable central midfielders.
