Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed that the Nou Camp outfit has no intention to sell Philippe Coutinho.

When asked if selling Coutinho was on the cards, he said, “It’s not, very young and we expect a lot from him. We do not want to sell to Coutinho.”  He also told the BBC: “A major part of the problem is positional. The biggest discussion around Coutinho is whether he should be played as a winger (in Neymar’s old position) or a midfielder (the role formerly filled by Iniesta), but he just doesn’t look comfortable in either position.

Coutinho has flattered to deceive in the Barcelona shirt and reports claim that Chelsea asked about his fee in January. The Blues are set to lose Eden Hazard in the summer with the Belgian having seemingly made his mind up to leave the club.

Hence, it seems like a logical decision to replace the Belgian star with another extremely talented player. However, the problem the Blues could face is that Hazard is a natural winger and can play out wide where as Coutinho is more of a number 10 who prefers to stay tucked in and create the play.
