Chelsea are showing interest in signing Man United defender Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw will see his current contract expire in the summer of 2027.

Chelsea are planning to shift their focus on Manchester United defender Luke Shaw. The Blues are looking to boost their defense which has been pretty weak.

The West London club have invested a huge amount in the previous three transfer windows. Mauricio Pochettino is said to be interested in acquiring a new centre-back, central midfielder and forward this month.

Ian Maatsen have been loaned out to Borussia Dortmund. They will now push for the new left-back in the future. Levi Colwill is expected to return to the centre at some stage. Ben Chilwell is already in the medical room. Marc Cucurella has also been linked with a transfer elsewhere.

As per the journalist Simon Phillips, Shaw is their first priority in the defence section. Man United defender has made 270 appearances at Old Trafford across all competitions.

The 28-year-old will see his current contract expire in the summer of 2027. Pochettino also worked with Luke Shaw during his time at Southampton in 2013-2014.

Shaw has made just 10 starts this season under Erik ten Hag. He hasn’t been a regular for Man United. Manchester City’s Sergio Gomez is also in plan of Chelsea.
