Napoli are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea outcast Trevoh Chalobah.

The Blues academy graduate has struggled for game time over the past two seasons and will likely make a move this January.

He rose to prominence under the management of Thomas Tuchel, regularly featuring in the first team and became a utility man for the Blues.

Chalobah has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Axel Disasi from Monaco this summer.

He has struggled to get minutes under the management of Mauricio Pochettino and would force a move away from Stamford Bridge this winter.

Chalobah’s persistent thigh injury has derailed his chances in the current Chelsea squad and Pochettino would be keen to offload the unwanted players from the current roster.

Serie A clubs AC Milan and Roma have previously shown interest in the 24-year-old defender but Napoli are the latest name to join in the hunt for the Chelsea outcasted defender.

It would be interesting to see if Chalobah can emulate the success of Fikayo Tomori at Milan, and Tammy Abraham at Roma – two Chelsea academy graduates who left Stamford Bridge in the last few seasons.

Napoli are interested in signing Chalobah this January to bolster Walter Mazzarri’s defence as the club are worried about their position in the table.
